About this cabin rental

Kate’s Creek Cabin is located 22 miles from Mena, AR on HWY 8 East. 2.8 miles down Polk county road 675. A rustic, well appointed Cabin awaits you with one bedroom with full size bathroom with shower stall and is furnished with washer & dryer. The upstairs loft has a queen size bed & a futon. A King Size bed in the bedroom and there's a Queen size hide-a-bed couch in the living room. The Kitchen is fully equipped with electric stove, refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, small coffee pot, toaster pots, pans, dishes and utensils. Blankets, bed linens and bath towels are included. Outside is a wrap around deck with lots of seating to enjoy the outdoors. An outdoor grill & fire pit is available. A perfect setting for enjoying the beauty of the Ouachita Mountains.

We had an incredible stay at this rustic yet well-equipped cabin near Big Fork, AR. The location is private, serene, and perfectly situated for exploring the Ouachita National Forest—whether you want to ride ATVs, hike, or enjoy the nearby water. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed. The wraparound porch was the highlight—we enjoyed coffee in the mornings and cocktails in the evenings while listening to the babbling brook and the sounds of nature. With no noise or light pollution, the stargazing was amazing. Highly recommend for anyone looking to disconnect and recharge in total peace.

This was our second stay at Kate’s Creek Cabin and there is a reason for that. The owners are the nicest people and the cabin/property is perfect. This cabin is the perfect place to retreat, relax, and unwind. We absolutely love the middle of nowhere feel mixed with wildlife and beautiful scenery. Within an hour of being there, we saw 15 deer And lots of other animals. The creek that runs through the property, offers an unbelievable ambiance that forces you relax. This place is heaven to me and my wife and we already can’t wait to rebook!

Hello, we really enjoyed staying in the Ouachita National Forest. First and foremost we loved the cabin. Nestled in the perfect spot surrounded by a beautiful little creek, the cabin makes you feel at home. Deer and other wildlife are abundant and the stars ar night are next level. Our family enjoyed staying at this cozy cabin. We were able to savor our time together without the distraction of connectivity. Lazy days of poking around the campfire, creek, and surrounding hills followed by evenings of Monopoly, music, cooking, and reading. 4 humans and 1 dog filled up the cabin so just be aware if you have a large group. Five stars from my family.

This was our third stay in this cozy cabin. It has everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The fact that there is no wifi is definitely a plus, you really can get away from it all. John Karl and Lisa are easy to communicate with and have created what we think is the perfect cabin.

We just wanted a place to get away, be secluded, and enjoy mother nature. This place was perfect as we pulled and I got out yo open the gate a deer ran up the creek about 30 ft from me! I felt that was a perfect sign and it didn't disappoint. We were pleased and will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful weekend getaway at the cabin. Lisa was great at answering any questions I had before our trip. John Karl checked on us when we arrived and gave some great tips on what areas to check out for fishing and tubing. I think he and my husband could have sat and told old stories for hours! Precious people! Beautiful property! We loved the creek outside, which was a much needed relief from the crazy heat. Our airedale terrier was in heaven checking out everything and playing in the water. The house is rustic and cozy, and we had everything we needed. Be sure to grab groceries and any necessities at Walmart if you drive through Mena. Otherwise there is a little store down the road with some items. We enjoyed visiting the Little Missouri River Falls and the Caddo River.

Our experience was wonderful. Location is accurate and out in BFE with no one else to be seen. Our puppies loved it. Cabin theme is all about bears and just outstanding beautiful. Will definitely go there again. We meant the owners and our lovely people. Played in the stream. The only recommendations that we would have is to add a landline because there is no internet and cell phones do not work in that area. You have to drive to town to use your cell phone, and increase the water pressure from 30 PSI to at least 50 psi for the washing machine. Other than that don't change a thing.

We were looking for a secluded cabin with space for our dogs to run and a water source for them to play in. We found it at Kates Creek Cabin in western Arkansas. Secluded? You bet! The cabin is located on 150 acres! No street or city noises…just the sound of nature. So comfortable and relaxing. It was worth the drive from Austin, TX. Can’t wait to go back.

If you’re looking to get away for a little rest, relaxation & unwind, this is the place. We enjoyed sitting on the deck, listening to the birds & the rippling of Kates Creek. It is also pet friendly, we brought our 2 yr old Boxer Chloe. She thought she was in doggie heaven with all the smells & freedom to run. She also loved playing in the creek. We loved this little piece of heaven so much, we’re planning a spring trip. We would highly recommend Kates Creek Cabin!! Any questions, John & Lisa got back with us right away.

My family of four with two kids (ages 9 & 11) stayed for a full week in the summer and brought along our older dog. We all enjoy the scenery with the crystal clear creek, cool breezes, and deer visiting the meadow at various times of the day and evening. The wraparound porch made for a cool breeze spot at any time of day. The beds were comfortable, even the futon, and they had everything you need on site for cooking and cleaning. The kids have asked that we come back, even though they had no phones or internet! They loved having so much outdoor space to themselves to explore. Thank you for hosting us!

This was the best vacation! The house was perfect and the wrap around porch was just incredible. Our dogs were able to explore and run around and I've never seen them so happy. It rained most of our trip but sitting on the porch and enjoying nature was all I wanted to do. The cabin had everything needed plus more. We will absolutely be back.
