Clean, well equipped apartment with a nice view in a classic Austrian wooden house.

Clean, well equipped apartment in a classic Austrian wooden house. Ski storage right on the way from the house to the parking. Place is quiet and calm, perfect for relaxing evenings (in our case after skiing). Closest Ski-Amade lift is in Grossarl and it is reachable in 10 mins by car. After taking that lift you can ski down to Dorfgastein where you can take the ski-bus to Bad-Hofgastein (15 mins bus ride) or even to Sportgastein (longer, maybe 45 mins bus ride with a change in Bad Hofgastein). Another ski lift I recommend is the one in St. Johann (28 mins by car) that is connected to the Wagrain area (Snow Space Salzburg). On a no-ski day I recommend visiting Hangar 7 in Salzburg if you have interest in airplanes, F1 cars or old motorcycles (it is the Red Bull showroom).

Beautiful location and cozy cottage, but poor communication on strict rules that affected our stay.

We were kindly upgraded to a larger cottage at no extra cost, which was a lovely and unexpected gesture. The view over the valley and mountains was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. The cottage was well-equipped with everything needed for cooking, and the property itself is charming—nicely decorated with flowers, pottery, and thoughtful outdoor touches. A very tranquil and relaxing setting overall.

Despite being advertised as dog-friendly, we were shouted at by the owners twice when our dogs went to wander outside on the greenery, right infront of our terrace, first time without the leash and second time we thought its because of the leash so the second time we took the dogs on leash but it was till a problem. This was upsetting and contradicts the dog-friendly claim. During the departure we were told by the owners that they do not allow dogs to go on the greenery as they grow hay there for the horses and they had a bad experience last year. We understood that, but either they have to tell us in advance before we rent the place so that we decide if it makes sense for us to come, or put some barriers between the terrace and the greenery so that we are aware that we cannot use the space right in front of the terrace. There’s also no outdoor lighting at night, so it’s completely dark and unsafe to step outside or go for a short walk. Grilling—even with an electric grill—was not allowed due to fire policy, which was disappointing. Several other guests mentioned fresh bread in their reviews, but we were never informed this was available, which was a shame. Also, be aware that the nearest small grocery store is about a 15-minute drive away, and the closest full-size supermarket is in St. Johann im Pongau, about 35 minutes away. Make sure to bring food and essentials (salt, oil etc.)with you when you arrive.

Spectacular views from the property! The Sauna was extremely relaxing and welcoming. Apartments were spacious and beautiful.

Not a lot of space to walk around and no bar/food available at the guesthouse at night.

We were really satisfied. There was very nice place there. There was really nice view from the balcony. I appreciated location, calm and really darkness in the room during the night. I liked the view from the toilet window. If you want to make very nice hike you can start close by house. I take it like a big advantage. I recommend this place, this location

Travel by car is important to reach Huttschlag by single road (no other directions).

Breakfast good but always the same everyday.

Sauna bit small (suit 3 persons) if 3 inside I cannot access to sauna until they finish.

The location is amazing with beautiful views of the mountains and town. It's nice and quiet and has everything you need. There are plenty of things to do nearby if you want to take a break from hiking. Anything from shopping, mini golf, a bow and arrow shooting parkour, ... If you get bored here, it's on you. :)

Great short stay

I was here already once, and the view from the apartment is amazing, I could stay there forever. I also like that they replace the old couch with a new one, which is very comfortable. The place and cottage is very nice.

The bathroom fan did not work, after taking shower of 6 people, it was too foggy and a bit unconfortable.

There were no fridge in our room. Since there was no restaurants or shop close by foot, it would have been nice to store some food or drinks in our room.

if you are a dog owner, don’t stay here, the owners doesn’t like dogs and show a bad attitude to you

not the much, since no anything to do it’s in a remote area and restricted since you can’t let your dog walk free. shops are 10 km away

no any soap in the room, breakfast poor, the owner tried to make me upset by telling that they have kids and the dog need be short leashed because dogs bite, also you can’t walk with the dog on the grasland.

The location of the house is amazing, the view from the balcony or from the kitchen windows is also spectacular. We loved the sheeps, horses and rabbits so much. Comfortable room, perfect breakfast, mindful hosts. There are plenty of walking trail opportunities around Hüttschlag.

perfect family vacation

I love the view from the balcony/terrace. The property is on the hill from where an opposite side of the valley is visible with several waterfalls, hills and peaks. The rooms are comfortable, big, with enough space. Kitchen is fair equipped and organized.

The only thing i can mention is that i prefer to have the harder mattress.

Chybělo některé kuchyňské vybavení jako třeba poklice na hrnce a kastroly, Sklenice na nealkoholické nápoje. Na WC chyběl věšák na ručník. Chybějící náhradní pytle do odpadkových košů. Zmatky při odhlašování, kdy nám byl účtován poplatek za psa, kterého měla jiná rodina.

Velmi příjemná horská chalupa

Horská chalupa byla krásná, pohodlná a výborně vybavená na příjemný pobyt i na vaření. V okolí nádherné výhledy, v dosahu 15 minut autem byl lyžařský areál a kolem 1 hodiny cesty několik luxusních termálních koupališť. Přímo v domě byla denně k dispozici. Bydlení bylo pohodlné a pro šest lidí velmi prostorné.

Zdi jsou poměrně tenké a ráno nás budily hlasy dětí ze sousedního apartmánu. Jinak je v okolí ubytování dokonalé ticho a klid.

Kiváló elhelyezkedés a hegyoldalban, nagyon szép kilátás, hangulatos, tágas, kényelmes és jól felszerelt apartman, ahol nagyon otthonosan éreztük magunkat. A szállástól indulnak sétautak, de Grossarltal is számos kirándulási és szabadidős tevékenységet kínál, amik autóval könnyen és gyorsan elérhetőek. Az apartmanház recepcióján sok tájékoztató anyag áll rendelkezésre a környékbeli látnivalókról és programokról.

Kolejny magiczny wyjazd ;)

Byliśmy już po raz drugi. Marzyliśmy żeby tam wrócić. Podobało nam się wszystko, piękny dom, wyposażony we wszystko co potrzebne na krótki pobyt, miejsce, widoki, spokój, cisza i możliwość oderwania się od rzeczywistości....i wszechobecne szlaki, gdzie można się zatopić w cudownych krajobrazach.
