About this cottage rental
From our family to yours we offer a rustic cottage with a full kitchen, spacious living room and 4 bedrooms. The expansive deck is newly renovated with a new post and beam covered area. The waterfront has a beautiful sandy beach for the children with a gentle sandy bottom drop off, and recently upgraded floating docks. Whalley lake is big enough for a motor boat, but not too big that you will get lost. Wonderful Western exposure makes for the best sunsets visible from either the deck or the dock. It is a beautiful location and the cottage was as advertised. The beds are quite high but once in them they were comfortable. There are lots of seating areas outside. Our favourite spot was down by the water. We enjoyed swimming a few times but unfortunately the weather wasn't very cooperative.

The location, outdoor amenities, indoor amenities and overall cleanliness were great and exactly what our group needed for our cottage vacation. The only things I would reconsider, were entirely my own choosing/fault, but in retrospect choosing a two storey place without air condition with our recent heat waves and a place with only one washroom for the 7 of us were things we would consider when booking for next year. However it might be challenging to find a cottage with those ameneties.

Property was great, had everything we needed.Fishing from the dock is pointless, but if you get out there on one of the boats (paddle boat sucks, doesn’t steer well, take a kayak) there’s some big bass to be caught.Very quiet and peaceful. The sun sets directly across the lake. Walking along the dirt road along the cottages is beautiful in the fall.Host was chill and easy to contact.
