The property was high spec and spotlessly clean. It had all the facilities needed for self-catering including a proper oven, dishwasher and washing machine. The outside area was also good for eating breakfast or to sit and read. The location was beautiful, a short drive to some excellent beaches which are mainly rocky. The small shop opposite was a real bonus to pick up fresh bread and fruit etc. There are also some good restaurants nearby.
Mosquitos - we got badly bitten in the first few days. There was no mosquito nets but the owner did provide plug in repellents which helped a bit. We were told it was unusual to have this problem on Elba in September.
