About this house rental

90 mins north of Auckland this is a premium property on Ruakaka beachfront.

The property has fantastic uninterrupted 180 degree sea views from Whangarei Heads to Bream Tail, taking in the Hen and Chicks and Sail Rock, whilst being very private with reserve bounding front and one side. Floor to ceiling windows along the front of the house give a breathtaking panorama of Bream Bay. Also enjoy the view from the solar heated pool, spa, or spacious front or roof decks.

The beach is approx 50 meters away (or about a 100m walk along to a walkway and down to the sand).

The house has a large modern kitchen/dining/lounge area, with all the modern comforts such as underfloor heating in bathrooms, open gas fire place, and home theatre system. The property also sports a large garage used as a games/exercise room (incl pool table, weights, and rowing machine), and ample off street parking.

The property is equally hospitable in winter and summer.

Ruakaka beach is a beautiful 11 km long white, sandy East coast beach safe for swimming and including a patrolled area.

Great house, close to the beach. Pool great for small kids. House could do with a some TLC.

Overall the property was good, location was excellent with very close proximity to the beach and pool/spa amenities were excellent. Stunning views of the sunrises. Property ideally needs some TLC, just simple things like nails being exposed on the deck, and furniture was a little worse for wear. On staying here you'll need to bring basic amenities like oil, paper towels, coffee, marmite etc. Plenty of heating however would have been nice to have some fans given the heat. Overall, we made good use of the roof deck for star gazing and enjoyed the outdoor areas including the BBQ hence we had a wonderful time away.

We had a fantastic stay at Ruakaka. The house worked well for our group of family and friends. The location right on the beachfront is fantastic and we enjoyed long walks on the beach and swimming in the sea. When the weather wasn't so great the pool, spa and pool table were all well used. A wonderful spot and great hosts. Thanks for sharing with us!

We had a wonderful time in Ruakaka with our family for an extended weekend/early Christmas. Highly recommend this property as it had everything we needed - well appointed kitchen, great deck for lounging, pool for the kids and a short walk to the beach. The booking/checkin and entire process was smooth as well.

A bach with some great amenities - in warmer weather would love the pool! The spa pool was great for the time of year. We advised the owner that we were unable to access the rooftop deck and that the spa controls weren’t working as per directions (but still able to use the spa) so hopefully will be addressed for the next visitor. Comfy beds and table tennis was a bonus! Ewen was quick to respond to our queries.

We came for a family holiday with friends and had a great weekend away. The house is lovely, clean and well maintained and exactly as described. Its in the perfect spot with amazing beach views and a great deck for watching the sunrise and surf. The owners were friendly and were quick to respond to any queries we had. We had a wonderful family holiday here (in spite of the weather being pretty marginal). The property is exactly as shown in the pictures, our kids loved the pool and spa and it's just a short walk to fantastic Ruakaka beach. Great views out to sea, shops and cafe and takeaways all close by. Would definately stay again - recommended!
