Nefeli's country house

Beautiful peaceful garden, nice for relaxing, and we could even harvest fresh cucumbers and zucchini with the owner’s permission. The house is nicely decorated and had everything one needs (including air conditioning). The view from the balcony over the hills was very nice as well. And the village is not more than 20-40 minutes from most beaches and sights, as well as only 20 minutes from the airport (car is a must). The owner, Vaggelis and his daughter Vicky were especially nice, Vaggelis welcomed us personally, and provided us with water and their delicious own olive oil and wine upon arrival. We also had the pleasure to meet Vaggelis‘ mother, who was almost 100 years old and such an incredibly nice person. And the neighbors in the village were very nice, too. Since it’s the country side, the neighbors naturally have dogs, cats, chickens, and other animals. And of course the animals make noises from time to time, but that didn’t bother us, but added to the charm of the place. We already miss our long breakfasts and night caps in the garden!

Beautifully and tastefully decorated house. A spacious and pleasant garden. A quiet little place from where it is easy to go around the whole island by car.

The garden was very nice, we spent a lot of time there. The house has some interesting decorations and the hosts are quite nice, they gave us some vegetables from the garden.

The beds are not great, two of the three mattresses are very hard to sleep on. We had some issues with the electricity, two days there was an electricity cut in the area for half day. And since, there was no electricity, there was no water either, not for washing or drinking. Although the hosts couldn't control that, I wish we had known in advance so that we could have prepared.

The house and the garden were beautiful! the house is spacious, clean and had air conditioning in every room. Each bedroom had a terrace overlooking the green hills. the most beautiful view to wake up to every morning. the garden was exceptional. We spent most of our time there. It has an outside grill where we would make grilled fish and meat. The garden always has sun and shade so you can choose where you want to sit and relax. The garden had many fruits and vegetables to choose from. every day we would pick tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. to make salads and ate fruits like grapes and also my favorite - figs - straight from the tree. it was the most amazing experience. the owner Vangelis and his daughter Vicky were the most welcoming and thoughtful hosts we have ever encountered. Vangelis welcomed us with his homemade wine and olive oil from his own olive trees which was so good! Vangelis also showed us where we can go and get fresh fish every morning from local fisherman. Vicky was also always available and sent us links to the most amazing beaches that we would never have found without her. All inquires we had were answered within minutes. Both of them were so welcoming! We loved the location of the house. It was a quiet area but close enough to everything. Corfu is an island that is so beautiful and to see its beauty, you need a car. If you stay only in one place, you’ll miss out on so much. This said, our location was perfect. we moved around and saw the gems of the island! We left Corfu with such positive energy. We will definitely come back and visit again. It was a memorable trip one we will definitely repeat!
