Budget hostel with ensuite bathroom

An inexpensive hostel for one night! No staff, access by code, both to the hostel itself and to the room. The door didn't open on the first try. The hostel had very loud guests, and there was no staff. There was a shower and a bed with clean linens. A kettle in the room.

No staff in the morning, couldn't order breakfast.

Very nice location - definitely not for a single person and light sleepers

Location

Avoid at all costs for a single person! 1. Room No. 1 is right next to the entrance. The entrance door is extremely loud whenever other tenants use it. It woke me up several times in the middle of the night — even with earplugs, which the host includes as a cheap workaround. The walls are about 0.5 meters thick, so you can hear everything from the corridor and nearby rooms. 2. The “private” bathroom is misleading. According to the owner, the bathroom is private — technically true, but only partially. There’s no mention that it’s located in a separate room across the corridor. The lock was broken, which I reported to the owner, who said it would be fixed after my stay. While the door can’t be opened from the outside, it also doesn’t feel secure — there’s still a risk it could open unexpectedly. Other rooms have en-suite bathrooms. 3. The room was clean, but the bathroom was not. The cleaner left hair and a dirty mirror behind. 4. The window offers very limited privacy. From the outside, it looks like it’s painted over, but that only works under specific lighting conditions. When the interior lights are on at night, people outside can see into the room clearly. The same issue occurs during the day if there’s direct sunlight shining on the window — the privacy effect disappears. You’ll need to keep the curtains closed pretty much all the time if you want any privacy. 5. The breakfast is as shown in the photo — slightly better than hospital food. If it’s included in the price and your expectations are low, it’s acceptable. But it’s definitely not worth paying extra for.

Great location, overall a good stay

Great location, walking distance to the city centre. Easy check-in, comfy beds, a good size room, kitchen available all day and night.

Room's walls are really thin, that even ear-stoppers don't help and you can hear your neighbour snoring. Breakfast is included in the price, but only available for a very short time, and when you check-out early you have no chance to have it.

Great time 🫧

It's a really tidy and nice place in the centre of Gdansk. We loved our clean room with a kettle and a comfy bed. We could use the kitchen with all facilities there. The kitchen is far from the rooms so we didn't smell anything. BIG PLUS for tidiness, exceptionally clean 🫧🫧 they have even the shoes machine to clean them!!!

A small minus is the snoring guy in the room next to us. The place provides the ear plugger, but if you have a shallow sleep I'm not sure if it's enough for you ;)

We booked a room with an external bathroom nr.1 (there wasn't any other option at the time), the idea itself is really weird that you have to get out of your room into the corridor to enter the bathroom. Everyone is walking in their shoes through the corridor, so we were very lucky that we've brought slippers. Walking barefoot would be very unhygienic! The bathroom is a completely isolated room without proper ventilation. The walls and the floor is always damp and after taking a shower it takes a lot of time to dry up. The same situation with the towels, if you leave them in there they will never get dry. There was only one trash can in the bathroom, so if you have any rubbish to throw out, you have to exit your room, go to the corridor and then to the barhroom. Why not one trash can in the bathroom and one in the room like normal, hotels/hostels does? Especially in a situation like this. Also poor ventilation in the room, one small window. The bed was uncomfortable, it felt like it's going to brake apart at some point. Light switch by the bed is not working. And the baddest thing of all is paper thin walls. Doesn't matter if it's day or night you can hear through out the whole corridor that someone is having an intimate relationship, every step, door slamming. On the other side of our room wall was the corridor that led to the exit, so everyone who were opening the door was slamming it (otherwise it won't close) and you would hear everything, even with earplugs. All in all, this room shouldn't even exist, of it's location in the building, horrible place. Cheap infrastructure, furniture. No rest while being in the hotel.

An efficient stay

Very well organised, clean, and according to the description in Booking. No surprises. The car could be left all day, safely parked outside on the street, until picked up to go to the ferry in the evening.

The kitchen was sparsely equiped. You have to check in advance, to be able to make the breakfast you want to make.

The check-in process was very straightforward and easy to follow. The room was clean and nice. The location is perfect, very close to the old town. This is a perfect option if you plan to spend most of the day outside and use the hotel mainly for sleeping.

Good location, clean room, everything looked as new. Nice bed. And great price/quality ratio.

It's a bit noisy there so there's no soundproof obviously so a lot of noises from neighbor rooms and corridor are heard in your room. But it's obviously not a big issue, especially for this price.

Good stay for the price!

It was close to everything, good location, the room was clean and had a nice shower. You don't need to checkin just use a code which makes it really easy to get settled. small lockers next to bed to store things. Over all good for the price

Only one towel each for shower...so no towel to dry hands.. the door locks make a loud sound when you open them so it wakes people up if you come in late..
