Salvatore was one of the highlights of our trip! He made us feel at home the moment we stepped in the door. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome and provided us with local treats, including tomatoes from his father's garden. Salvatore took us on a little walk around the village when we arrived pointing out local cafes and shops and explaining the best ways to get around the coast and the best places to visit on our trip. This was a huge help and made us feel even more at home. He was very responsive whenever we needed anything and he suggested things to do – which we would not have necessarily know about – calling friends and booking things on our behalf. This made our trip so seamless and stress free. We can't thank him enough for all of his kind help, advice and generosity in the four days we were there and his dry sense of humour always had us laughing! The house had everything we needed, it was light and airy with the most beautiful views from every window. The bed was comfier than my bed at home! There were two bathrooms which was a luxury, as we had one each. Amalfi and Positano were very busy and touristy so it was extremely refreshing to stay somewhere without a tourist in sight. Both places were still easily accessible, just a short drive away. Staying away from the touristy places allowed us (along with the insights from Salvatore) to experience the Amalfi Coast from a locals point of view. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Salvatores place. We didn't have enough time to do everything we wanted to on the coast, so we will 100% be back for an extended visit and will recommend his place to all of our friends and family.
