About this cabin rental

Welcome to Dexter Run Farms.
This little cabin sits on a grassy opening that is surrounded by forest. The newly renovated cabin is comfortably furnished, with the kitchen equipped to create and enjoy a meal. Explore our hiking trails that lead throughout our 300-acre farmstead that gives you different views from every elevation... but be sure to use bug/tick spray during the summer months. Fishing poles for catch/release fishing, floats and tubes for swimming, are all provided at our pond down the hill from this cabin. You will be captivated by the peacefulness and beauty. A great spot for a "ME TIME Retreat" or Romantic HIde-a-Way.

The place was lovely and surely a quiet retreat in the middle of nowhere (though not far from Wysteria). The kitchen was great and the bed was comfy. However, the driveway was really difficult to ascend. I got stuck twice the first night though it was dry and in warm weather. I spent 30+ minutes rocking the car out and then tried again. I found the trick was to make sure I built up enough velocity on the relatively flat part at the bottom of the drive so that I could make it up the really steep part. I made it up the remaining nights of our stay, but it always felt on the edge. I drove a 2WD drive, and presumably, your experience with the driveway will be a lot different with better traction. I'd like to argue that 4WD should be a minimum requirement for renting this otherwise lovely place.

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary weekend. We loved how isolated we were from everything, but still within driving distance to towns close by. The house was quaint and had everything we needed. It has been a long time since my wife and I have slept in a queen size bed (we have a king), but the bed was much more comfortable than we expected. You definitely get a good workout when you hike the trails, but it was still enjoyable. We will definitely look at staying there again.

The driveway is really steep, my 2 wheel drive sedan struggled at first but after that, I got up relatively easily. Property was extremely pleasant and nice, secluded by yourself, own trails and pond and bonfire, you honestly cannot complain. I had a small issue that was easily fixable, but once I messaged the owner, he showed up within 2 minutes and solved the issue.

This is a lovely cabin. It has pretty much everything you need. My wife said all she needed was a washer and dryer and she could stay forever. Adam is a wonderful host and helped with all the questions we had. Definitely putting on our list of places to stay again and recommending to friends.

The cabin is small but very cozy. My wife and I enjoyed the stay. Very quiet and secluded. If it wasn't for Wi-Fi then you would have no cell service. 4x4 would be required the last 50 yards in snow as it is all up hill and steep.

This is an absolutely beautiful cabin. The place is surrounded by trees and is very peaceful. The pond was amazing even with all the rain prior to us arriving there. The cabin was clean as could be. Nestled back in the woods, all I heard were crickets and birds. Very relaxing. An hour from Hocking hills where we did some hiking. My next stay I would like to stay here for a week! The pond was beautiful just to play in the water and fish a little bit. I wish I had longer to stay. The accommodations were awesome. I could not ask for anything else. Thank you so much for letting us stay!

A great getaway off the beaten path! The owner was always quick to respond to my questions leading up to the stay and even anticipated some of our needs once we were there. Would definitely go back again! FYI be ready for a little hike to get to the pond, but it’s so worth it!

This is a cabin, done right. It was very humid, and im old and fat, so the hike to the pond was a near death experience. Thats my fault. Still loved it. Cabin a.c. was great, so i lived.

It was a nice little cabin. The fridge and microwave were filthy but that's ok because I always bring my cleaning supplies with me! I throughly cleaned them. I throughly cleaned the cabin before we left so the next person will have a clean cabin to stay in! Other than the dirty fridge and microwave we enjoyed our stay. The cabin is out in the middle of nowhere and hard to find even with gps but we found it. I recommend this quiet little cabin we loved it.

Lovely little cabin. Very clean and comfortable. Location is perfect if you want to get away from noise and craziness. Very quiet and peaceful location. Cabin is small without feeling cramped - it was really very comfortable. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

If your looking for something in the middle of nowhere this is it. It was a very nice place and even had a raccoon friend almost eat out of our hand. The only complaint is the fishing set up. It was ok not. No tackle the lines were very old. So bring you own poles if you plan on fishing.

We were in search of a quiet area to get away for a couple days and this place was nothing short of amazing! Adam was a great host and very friendly! The place was easy to find. Beautiful scenery and clean hiking trails! We LOVED the pond and seeing all the cows! We're definitely going to plan another trip!
