Spacious apartment on the ground floor Essen Kettwig

A great place for the family or close friends to stay. Sleeps 4 comfortably in a quiet neighbourhood. We only stayed for 1 night as part of a longer trip, but could easily have stayed longer. The only thing to note is that the bathroom is only accessible through the main bedroom so tip toe quietly if you need a pee in the night and you’re in the second bedroom!

Place was close to city. Nice walk and many activities near. Love it and if come back would stay again.

My wife and I stayed for 21 days and my two brothers stayed for the first 11 days during Euro 2024. We picked this town as it was small but had good transport links to other cities in the area. The flat is spacious and very well equipped with everything you need for a longer stay. Having a washing machine and fully functional kitchen was a great benefit. There is a beautiful parkland area on the adjacent riverbank which we enjoyed visiting on a daily basis. Helga the landlady was helpful and easy to contact prior to arriving. The town of Kettwig is very serene and an ideal place to relax. The public transport S6 buses are every 20 minutes throughout the day to 1am. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and managed to visit Munich, Cologne, Stuttgart, Essen and Dusseldorf by train. Thanks for comfortable stay. Alex & Kathy and family

I stayed here while visiting the nearby cities and found it a very enjoyable experience. The accomadations were clean, spacious, and well-equipped. Kettwig is a very charming town and the nearby park overlooking the river is gorgeous. Helga is also a very kind and helpful host. Overall, a very nice (and well-priced) accomadation to relax locally or travel further afield.
