Location was great. We had kids so needed to be mindful of noise being close to others. Wallabies with babies in their pouches were extra cute!

The expansive grounds were beautiful and, being populated by hundreds of little Wallabies, was a wonderful immersive experience in Australiana. The pavilion was unique, private and clean. Breakfast was included in our package and was outstanding in both quantity, quality and therefore reflected excellent value. The winery and surrounding restaurant buildings are exceptional in their architecture and ambience. The staff, both in the restaurants, event venue, reception and housekeeping were exceedingly polite, friendly and well trained. This property is enormous and seems to cater for very large gatherings with ease. Overall, this property is very impressive.

In the course of a two-night stay, we dined at the Tuscan Terrace Restaurant and the wine and service were outstanding. Unfortunately, the whole baked Barramundi served as a shared meal was the smallest I had ever encountered and judging by its mushy flesh texture, must have been a reject from a fish farm. It was overpriced and under whelming. We attended a wedding event and again the food let the whole experience down. How the kitchen could inject gristle into Wagyu meatballs is beyond me. The slow braised garlic Lamb saddle medallion came skirted in fat and gristle and the char-grilled eye fillet presented as medium-rare looked the part but was tough as goat's knees! Our pavilion was presented beautifully however the body wash container in the shower stall was empty and we had to use hair shampoo as an alternative. There was only one face washer supplied for two people. Luckily, we had the foresight to bring our own. There were only two facial tissues in the box provided. As reception is only manned up until 4:30pm, we could not have these issues remedied until the next day. This involved three telephone calls, and a four hour wait for housekeeping to respond. When one is trying to prepare for a wedding, this delay created a certain level of tension in the pavilion. Reception did provide a bottle of bubbly as compensation for this shemozzle which was gratefully accepted and appreciated. Finally, this property is billed as a retreat, so no television or radio is provided in order to enhance the serenity. It is a shame that the traffic noise from Mount Cotton Road nearby, permeates the canvass walls. Instead of awakening to the call of Kookaburras, we were jolted into consciousness courtesy of heavy vehicle compression braking systems and motor bike heroes.
