But what made our stay really special was the hostess. Roula is an amazing hostess who provided us with a heartwarming welcome and home-baked delicious karydopita! She's also always available for questions and provided exceptional recommendations for activities in the neighbourhood of Paleochora. Wish we could have stayed longer!!

Perfect spot for two with great hospitality

We were warmly welcomed by the host, who greeted us with homemade cake, raki, and olive oil. Throughout our stay, she returned with more baked treats and regularly checked in to ensure we had everything we needed. The space was super clean and perfect for two people, with a cosy outdoor area ideal for relaxing evenings. The kitchen was well equipped with all the essentials.

A really neat ground apartment for two in a fine location for visitors who want to enjoy Palaiochora without living in t

Our host Roula was delightful. The property sits high up on the Panorama with extensive views over Paleochora. The town centre is accessed by a short car ride or a comfortable 20 minute walk down and rather longer up the hill on the way back. There are plenty of cabs tho. Our ground floor apartment (number2) was thoughtfully laid out, had a very spacious bedroom with loads of storage, a great shower, a compact but well fitted kitchen and everything was completely spotless with quality fixtures, fittings and linens throughout.

Nothing to do with the property, but the last bit of the hill at night was a bit of a challenge after a dinner in town with Cretan portion sizes! Also checking out after just two nights - we should have stayed at least 5.

Very good communication by Booking.com mail with Anastasia, the owner Excellent welcome upon arrival by Roula Brand new and beautiful studio, fully equipped, with a nice private garden. Very comfortable bed, very good air conditioning Very easy access by car and parking in front of the house, a few minutes away by car from the town center

Not the owners fault but we had a lot of noise during the day due to major construction work next door (new house being built). This should not last very long and will not be a problem for future guests.

Really enjoyable stay at La Casa Del Vitsi. Apartment was located just outside the town but well within walking distance. Host was very friendly and helpful, the baked Easter treats was also a bonus. Would absolutely stay again.

Fabulous accommodation

The accommodation is in a quiet area but still very close to walk to the beach and town. Roula was a fantastic host and has paid great attention to the accommodation to make sure it is extremely clean and COVID safe. She had made a lovely garden with herbs and the apartment has everything in it you need. It is very spacious and has a nice outdoor seating area. I can’t rate this accommodation highly enough - it was absolutely superb!!!! Thanks Roula for your warm welcome and a lovely stay x

Nice flat with a balcony overlooking Paleochora. Quiet and well equipped, easy parking, just what you need to explore this beautiful region. The lady welcoming us was very helpful and is in the building every morning. Everything was as described in booking.com

Perfect for staying in Palaiochora

The views were lovely from the terrace, the accommodation was very spacious, clean and Rula was always on hand if we wanted anything. She was also very kind with cookies, cake, cheese & honey, raki and a leaving gift. I would definitely recommend this property and we will stay here again whenever we visit Palaiochora.

SOGGIORNO ALL'INSEGNA DEL RELAX E DEL SILENZIO

La prima cosa da dire riguarda ROULA, la Host, persona meravigliosa! Gentilissima, sorridente, sempre disponibile e pronta qualora servisse qualcosa agli ospiti. Accoglienza da Dieci e Lode ! Al check-in, ci ha mostrato l'appartamento con grande attenzione e cura. In ordine alla struttura: appartamento-monolocale grande, su unico piano, PULITISSIMO E ORDINATO, dotato di tutto il necessario: -cucina con stoviglie, tazze, pentole, strofinaccio, scottex, lavatrice e relativo detersivo; frigorifero grande con una graditissima bottiglia di vino bianco, tostapane, bollitore per il the' + quello per il caffe' americano (caffe macinato, the e zucchero, piccole marmellate, sale pepe gia' presenti.. e anche il Raki!); -camera con armadio grande, addirittura il necessario per stirare (!) + un plaid in aggiunta che abbiamo usato perche' di sera era fresco; -bagno: grande, ottimo box doccia, asciugacapelli; -spazio all'aperto privato, con stendino e mollette, tavolo + panca con cuscini e sedia sotto un piccolo porticato, per fare colazione o cenare all'aperto in totale relax; giardino molto curato; -parcheggio: comodissimo, su strada, esattamente di fianco alla struttura. Servizio di pulizia ogni tre giorni davvero impeccabile, con cambio asciugamani e lenzuola. La struttura si trova a circa 15 minuti a piedi dal centro di Paleochora, in zona tranquilla e silenziosa, piu' in alto rispetto al mare. Paleochora e' un paese piccolo bellissimo, con market, negozietti e buoni ristoranti. Dalla spiaggia di Paleochora, si vede il tramonto, una cosa da fare assolutamente. Con partenza da Paleochora, si possono visitare diverse spiaggie stupende, come ad esempio Gianiskari e Krios. Elafonisi + Falasarna e Balos sono rispettivamente a un'ora e quindici / un'ora e trenta di auto. Ringraziamo ancora Roula per l'accoglienza. Eine tolle Zeit in Paleochora.

Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns richtig wohl gefüllt. An einem Sonntag brachte sie uns sogar einen selbstgebackenen Kuchen vorbei. Ein Parkplatz steht steht direkt neben der Unterkunft zur Verfügung. Eine perfekt eingerichtete Küche. Sogar eine Saftpresse ist vorhanden.

Wir waren im ersten Moment ein bisschen enttäuscht vom Meerblick, aber das ist Jammern auf dem hohen Niveau. Die Stadt erreicht man nach einem 10-minütigen Fußmarsch. Für Menschen mit eingeschränkter Beweglichkeit vielleicht nicht so gut geeignet.

"Seltenes Fundstück", es muss nicht immer Meerblick sein!

Die Lage oberhalb vom Kernort in einer ruhigen Wohngegend und die moderne Ausstattung der Wohnung sind hervorragend. Die besonders hervorzuhebende Sauberkeit der Wohnung ist uns auch sehr positiv aufgefallen. Die Wohnung bietet zwar "nur" einen Gartenblick, aber das war für uns überhaupt kein Problem, da wir ja den ganzen Tag Meerblick hatten. Wir genossen im Gegenteil morgens und abends unsere kleine, abgetrennte Sitzecke vor der Wohnung. Wer aber gerade am Anfang von dem überwältigenden Blick auf Paleochora nicht genug bekommen kann, dem empfehlen wir die gegenüber dem Haus auf der anderen Straßenseite liegende Sitzbank. Perfekt! Wir (66 und 64 Jahre alt) waren auch 3x zu Fuß so in ca. max. 20 Minuten unten im Ort und an den Stränden. Der "Aufstieg" zurück zur Wohnung ist aber nicht zu unterschätzen. Absolut machbar, aber man muss schon noch ganz gut zu Fuß sein. Man kann aber auch völlig problemlos mit dem Auto hinunterfahren und es oberhalb des wunderbaren Sandstrandes auf einem großen, kostenlosen Parkplatz abstellen. Wichtig bei einer Ferienwohnung ist ja auch immer die Erreichbarkeit und die Bereitschaft zu handeln der (in diesem Fall) Vermieterin. Dies ist bei Roula zu 100% gegeben. Roula ist jederzeit telefonisch erreichbar. Sie ist auch jeden Tag bis mittags vor Ort und ansprechbar. Sie ist eine ganz liebenswürdige Person, nie aufdringlich, und zeigt damit, dass auch heute noch die von uns seit Jahrzehnten so geliebte griechische Gastfreundschaft erlebbar ist! Danke dafür, Roula!

Da erfahrungsgemäß bei ausschließlich hervorragenden Bewertungen immer Vorsicht angesagt ist, habe ich nach Kritikpunkten gesucht, um die Glaubwürdigkeit meiner Bewertung zu unterstreichen. Ich habe aber wirklich nichts gefunden! Dass mal an der Straße ein Auto vorbeifährt, dass mal irgendwo Hunde bellen oder dass mal in der Nacht Katzen fauchend kämpfen..., sorry, aber gerade auch das gehört zu Urlaub in Griechenland. Wir können wirklich nur sagen, dass wir uns dort sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt haben! Ach ja, nicht zu vergessen, das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis war auch noch tatsächlich unschlagbar. :-)

Die Freundlichkeit der Gastgeberin und ihr persönliches Engagement (super Empfang, gute Tipps in Bezug auf die Umgebung, Strände, Gastronomie und vieles mehr). Das Appartement ist gut gelegen, geräumig und mit allem ausgestattet, was man sich für den Urlaub so wünscht (tolle Küche, super Küchenausstattung, Waschmaschine und A/C, angenehmer Schlafbereich). Es ist alles neuwertig und die Sauberkeit ist topp. Es hat uns im "La Casa Del Vitsi" ausgezeichnet gefallen und wir werden wieder kommen. Eine empfehlenswerte Adresse, wenn man in Paleochora und Umgebung Urlaub machen möchte.

Un bel soggiorno in relax

L’appartamento è accogliente, con un bel patio con vista mare dove poter fare colazione e qualche aperitivo. La padrona di casa è gentile e disponibile, ci ha preparato per ben due volte delle torte fatte in casa. Ogni 3 giorni cambia lenzuola, asciugamani e pulisce la casa. Pur non essendo vicinissimo al mare, in 5-20 minuti si possono raggiungere tante spiagge libere o attrezzate.
