The Mountain View Hat Sai Ri Resort

The staff was helpful, whenever I wanted to go to the beach or to eat out in the evening (the on-site Italian restaurant no longer operates), someone would give me a ride down to the beach/restaurant area; the manager even proposed that I use one of their scooters. I loved the view of the surrounding mountains and how quiet it was. At breakfast, they served mango from the giant tree next to the main house: best mango I have ever had! However, I am glad that I had brought my own "real" coffee and milk. Because of the great view, I would often stay in the dining room to do some work on my computer and no one ever asked me to leave. My return flight to Bangkok was in the evening and I was allowed to keep my room until I got picked-up a bit past 4pm.

The bungalow I got was NOT the one I had booked. I chose the place partly because it had an onsite Italian restaurant: it is no longer the case and they should update their description/website to reflect that. Room clean-up was not automatic: I had to ask when I wanted the bins emptied. The pool was in a horrible state: I do not think that the filtration system has been turned on in quite a while. This did not stop people from using the pool, it was a bit like swimming in a pond... The attendant only installed sun umbrellas when people he appeared to know would drive over to use the pool (it was Songkran), otherwise, I would have to ask for one. The pool furniture is not in the best shape.

Overall stay was amazing. I stayed with my 9 year old son and with the property having three slides son loved it

We liked the slides for the kids, but water was so warm it was like a spa. Enough beds for a family of 5 but beds not very comfortable. Very reasonable price, get what we paid for.

The rooms are less than basic. shower in the same space as toilet. No one around when we checked in. Staff were nice when we went searching for them, but no one asking if we want anything and we were pool side for hours.
