Il Marchese mirante

The property is nice. It's a big house repurposed to being a B&B. The room had AC which was great, plus a small fridge which we appreciated since we could store any drinks and food. The room we had in particular had 1 double bed and 2 bunk beds, but I think it's too small to have 4 people in comfortably with 1 toilet in that amount of space. The toilet was also well fitted and very comfortable. The pasticcioto (local traditional pastry) was the best I had (and I tried many!). The property is across the street to the beach in a quiet street where it's easy to park.

The attention was a bit excessive for my taste. In particular I prefer when breakfast can be more independent but the coffee machine is a bit odd so it can only be worked by the owner. Besides the bits of warm pastry, which were strongly suggested ("no" was not an appreciated answer) there were not many other fresh options for breakfast, all else (crackers and stuff) was ready stuff from the market. As someone who usually eats a savory breakfast, I wish I had ready options (and I also didn't ask in risk that too much was prepared "for me"). The attention style, the push to share our day and spending time with the owners, and even the lack of freedom to just get up and go (we were told to at least have a coffee before we go) it was just too much. We wanted to relax, we were friendly because we didn't want to be rude, and the owners are very sweet and very nice people, but for us it was a bit much. The breakfast room could really use a fan or 2 in the summer months because sometimes it's too hot and not enough air circulates around.
