The Space:
Accommodates 11 guests: (3) queen beds, (1) king bed, (1) twin sleeper sofa, (1) full sleeper sofa.
Avatar by the Sea is a 4/3 bath home located in beautiful Cape San Blas, Fl. Surrounded with lots of natural trees and vegetation, this home has views of the bay and the gulf - watch the sunrise over the bay in the morning and set over the gulf in the evening. The observation tower on the top level has great views. Your beautiful, private swimming pool awaits right out the back door.
This home is about a 5 min walk to the beach down a nature walk through the development located behind the home.
On the ground level is one of the two masters that has a king bed, large double closet, and a full attached bathroom with a shower. The laundry room is also located on this level and has a full sized washer and dryer. There is also access to the two car garage, where you will find an additional refrigerator.
The private pool is located off of the garage, with lounge chairs and access to Misc. beach toys, and pool floats for you to enjoy during your stay. There is also a beach wagon, coolers, and pool toys!
On the second level, you will find your main living area with the living room that features a sleeper sofa couch, love seat, and an additional chair which has a twin sleeper sofa, kitchen w/granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, dining room w/seating for six and additional seating can be found at the bar and provided TV trays. You also have access onto the main level deck, where you will find outside seating and an outdoor dining table with great views of the pool. There is also stairs on this deck that lead to the pool area.
The kitchen is stocked with everything we think you’ll need during your vacation with us. Dishwasher, microwave, blender, coffee maker, crock pot, dishes/silverware, a good selection of cookware, utensils, glassware, and much more! We strive to start all guests off with a supply of:
Dish soap
Hand soaps
Garbage bags
Dishwasher detergent
Paper towels
Toilet paper
Laundry Detergent
Also located on this level are two bedrooms, both have Queen size beds. Located in the hall outside of the bedrooms is a full sized bathroom with a tub/shower combination.
The third level features the second master which has access onto its own private deck with views of the water and pool. This bedroom has a queen bed and also has a full attached bathroom with a large garden tub, walk in tiled shower and a double vanity sink.
Going up the steps to the fourth level, you will find access onto the screened observation tower which great views of the Gulf and Bay and an outdoor table/chairs. Perfect place to enjoy a cocktail!
The Loggerhead Run Bike Path is an eight mile trail on Cape San Blas that runs the length of the Cape from St. Joseph Peninsula State Park to Salinas Park along Hwy 30E/Cape San Blas Road, and is great for walking, jogging or biking and is just across the street.
You are within walking distance from Skully's Low Country Boil which has amazing steamed shrimp, low country boil, and gumbo! The Tradin' Post is just a few blocks away as well.
Avatar by the Sea is a non smoking unit, and is pet friendly for an additional fee of $150 per pet, max 2. (dogs only please) Bookings through a third party site (VRBO), will have this fee added onto your reservation at the office.
Children are also welcome at Avatar By The Sea.
This home also comes with two kayaks, life jackets, and paddles for you to use.
Monthly reservations accepted Jan-Feb. Call or email for monthly rates.
This property has a 4 night minimum, with the exception of holiday weeks (Example: 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving etc). Must rent for the full week during holidays.

Overall this is a great property. Our family stayed there for our family reunion. We especially enjoyed the pool and the lookout at top. All the bedrooms are a good size, plenty of room and very comforatable. We would happily stay here again, and recomend it to our friends, and I think that says it all.

Great location and quick walk to the beach. Nice layout and wonderful porches, pool and outdoor space. Well stocked in the kitchen for dinners at home. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend to friends.

2 master suites plus 2 additional bedrooms. Lots of space. Great pool. All the beach accessories you would need and a short 5 minute walk to the Gulf

This property is very spacious! The communication with the property manager was superb. They have a welcome basket for your pup....very nice!
BUT, there were a lot of shortcomings with the property. Three lightbulbs out...one in the Top floor master shower. And if you didn’t shower in the day light it was very dark. This same shower faucet handle is backwards....waited an eternity to get hot water after finally deciding to turn it to the cold and heated right up. The first floor shower doesn’t drain until you are finished showering. You’ll be standing in a few inches of water.
The two queen bedrooms on the main level have some very sad pillows and mattresses. Very uncomfortable for a week of sleeping.
We had gorgeous weather and we opened the windows on the main floor for an afternoon.....there were bugs all in the window sills. The table on the patio had sand all over it and the chairs were tumbled over. And the Adirondack chair cushions were blown all over on the opposite side of the main floor patio.
The refrigerator is entirely too small for the space in the kitchen as well as for a house of this size. You do have a much larger refrigerator in the garage on the bottom floor.
The main floor family area had a place on the wall that must have been damaged that was patched but left unpainted.
Walk to the beach isn’t bad at all....it’s just a short walk. We rented the golf cart to transport my elderly father who has some mobility issues. But there was no key to be found. The rental company attempted to rent one for us from a local rental company but they didn’t have any available. Elizabeth was very nice and communicative about crediting our account back for that paid rental.
We were just a little disappointed in the overall care and cleanliness of the house. It was pretty evident that no one had been in this house for a while.
