Lovely area, however, our stay at Mains of Taymouth itself was disappointing and not worth the price paid

The property was clean, well located and nicely furnished

We found out from a friend staying earlier than us that the restaurant on-site would be closed during our stay. This was queried via booking.com and confirmed. No prior notice of this was given. We were lucky to be able to book elsewhere, however, had we been advised of this in the first place we would not have arranged to stay. Also, included in the advert was a patio with patio furniture which we fully intended on making use of, however, no furniture was present when we arrived. This was brought to the attention of staff but nothing was done to rectify the issue

I liked the luxury feel of the kitchen - well equipped everything you need! Setting near the lively woods and Loch - also great restaurant/ wine bar Very welcoming with a central log fire .

Plumbing a bit dodgy with sealant leaking in bath - causing a mini flood but everybody very calm about it and no resulting problems from a customer viewpoint .

Kenmore Getaway

Liked the location - pretty, lots to do nearby from historic things to outdoor adventure or just a walk or a coffee and cake. I liked the lodge - perfect for family of four.

Relaxing getaway

Well equipped, best of kitchen appliances etc. Plenty hot water and lodge warm and very comfortable. Well stocked shop on site.

No privacy, the people in the opposite lodges could see into your lounge but more importantly into the master bedroom. Their were no blinds or net curtains so you had to close the heavy winter curtains all the time. The two couches could be doing with an upgrade.
