As ever, plenty of areas where a minimal investment would have a maximal impact.

Granted I did loose my room key, but I wasnt overly happy to find out the hotel only had one key for the room I was using.

great location and surroundings; clean and comfortable; good buffet breakfast; good free WiFi; large free car park. English spoken widely in the hotel.

Rooms are a bit tired and dated; no emergency evacuation procedures in the room; no guest information book; no room service; food only available from 4 to 8pm; guests tend to get forgotten when large groups attend the hotel on an event; Two large Macaws captive in a very small glass cage within the building - horrible screeching noise!

The location is fantastic! Away from the busy city center and surrounded by greenery, which creates a very relaxing atmosphere. Despite being outside the center, transportation is quite convenient, with easy access by bus or taxi.

We booked a double room but were given a twin room instead. When the beds were pushed together to make one, we noticed a significant amount of dust and dirt underneath, which clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a while. This was not only uncomfortable but also unhygienic. Sleeping on two separate beds pushed together is far from ideal, especially for a couple. Additionally, my wife is highly allergic to cat hair, and we suspect there was cat hair under the beds, as she had a severe allergic reaction during our stay. The room itself felt very airless, with no ventilation. The only option was to open the window, which isn’t great if it's cold outside or windy at night. While the view of the botanical garden was pleasant, there were two macaws right outside the window. As much as I love parrots, their loud calls early in the morning made it difficult to sleep or start the day feeling no rested. Unfortunately, overall, the room didn’t meet our expectations in terms of cleanliness, comfort, or air quality.
