About this cabin rental

Summary:

Step back to a simpler time at The Pioneer, a rustic Appalachian cabin inspired by the early settlers of Appalachia—built for those who appreciate quiet, character, and a slower pace of life.

This is not a large or luxury cabin. The Pioneer is intentionally small, rustic, and reminiscent of early homesteads, offering an authentic experience you won’t find in modern builds. It can sleep up to 5 guests, making it ideal for small families, couples, looking to unplug and reconnect.

The Space:

Inside, you’ll find warm wood interiors, a cozy and practical layout, and the kind of atmosphere that invites you to slow down. It’s the kind of place where mornings start easy, evenings last longer, and no one’s in a rush.

Set on 8.5 wooded acres, The Pioneer offers a peaceful retreat while still being part of a small, tucked-away cabin village. You’ll have your own private space, along with access to shared fire pits, open gathering areas, and a quiet sense of community that feels natural—not crowded.

Whether you’re exploring nearby trails, heading out toward the Ocoee River, or simply enjoying the stillness of the woods, this is a place to settle in and stay awhile.

Sleeping Arrangements (Sleeps 5):

• Bedroom (main floor) – Queen bed

• Sleeping Loft – Full bed + Twin bed

Inside, warm wood interiors create a cozy mountain atmosphere. The living area features a sofa and recliner, perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure. Stream your favorites on Roku TV, watch a DVD, and stay comfortable year-round with a fireplace for chilly evenings and AC for warm summer days.

The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals, with dining space for four. The full bathroom is stocked with towels, soaps, and body wash for your convenience.

Step outside to your covered porch and unwind in the private hot tub. Rocking chairs make the perfect spot for morning coffee, and just outside the door you’ll find a gas grill ready for outdoor meals.

Included Shared Amenities:

✔ Access to The Lodge (Pool Table, Ping-Pong, Jukebox-Style Music System, Beautiful Teak Bar)

✔ Fire Rings & Firewood available

✔ Adirondack Chairs & Picnic Tables

✔ Large Gas BBQ Grill

✔ Stocked Fishing Pond (bring your own poles and bait)

Ask about combining all cabins and glamping tents for a group event whether it be a mountain wedding, family reunion, adult birthday celebration or a spiritual/wellness retreat.

And of course, you’ll likely meet “Rona,” our friendly Welcome Dog who guests absolutely adore.

Come experience the charm, comfort, and mountain adventure of Copperhill — and book a getaway your family will remember for years to come.

My husband, three kids/teens, and two dogs loved the cabin and all the grounds had to offer. The game area with a pool table and ping pong was so fun. We went fishing at the pond a couple of times a day. The cabin was extremely clean- one of the cleanest places we’ve ever stayed in our travels. Just be aware that there is no central air or heat. There’s a window unit, fans, gas fireplace, and space heaters. It did get kind of hot at night. The beds were just ok. Shower had pretty good pressure, and we never ran out of hot water! Oh, and the hot tub was so nice. Overall great trip. We will definitely stay again!
