About this villa rental
Villa Daphne is a villa that offers total privacy, numerous facilities, private indoor and outdoor swimming pools, gym equipment, toys and numerous dining and siting areas. At the same time, it is conveniently located very close to the beach and all kinds of shops!
Located in a 4,000 sq. m. high fenced olive grove, Villa Daphne is a 350 sq. m. accommodation consisting of two floors.
The villa can comfortably accommodate 10 guests in beds, with space for up to 12 across its five spacious bedrooms. This exceptional villa offers complete privacy both indoors and outdoors, surrounded by the beauty of nature, yet conveniently located near the beach and a variety of shops.
Indoors
First floor
The open-plan first floor is accessed through the main entrance where you will find a living room with an open fireplace, a cozy sitting area with large sofas, and a dining table. The living room also features, a 40 HDTV, a PlayStation 4, and a Nintendo Wii, to enjoy all the fun! Through its large glass doors, the room offers lovely sea views and direct access to the garden and pool, after descending a few stairs. Adjacent to the dining area, the fully equipped kitchen makes sure that you have all that is needed to prepare your homemade meals. The living room opens up to a large veranda, equipped with patio furnishing, providing additional seating areas overlooking the sea and the pool, an ideal place to watch the sunset and relax.
Bedroom 1: This master bedroom features a King size bed (1,80 x 2,00), a self-controlled A/C, a closet, safe and direct access to a shared balcony
Bedroom 2: This bedroom features two twin-size beds (0,90 x 2,00) that may be converted into a King size bed (1,80 x 2,00) upon request, a self-controlled A/C, a closet, and direct access to a shared balcony
Finally, there is a family bathroom with a bathtub, a WC, and a laundry room with a washing machine and a tumble dryer on this level.
Ground Level
A family bathroom with a bathtub can be found on this floor, providing independence and privacy to large groups when required.
The remaining three bedrooms of the Villa can be found on this level.
Bedroom 3: This bedroom features a Queen size bed (1,60 x 2,00), a self-controlled A/C, a closet, a TV, and an ensuite bathroom with a shower

Bedroom 5: This bedroom features two twin-size beds (0,90 x 2,00) that may be converted into a King size bed (1,80 x 2,00) upon request, and an ensuite bathroom with a stand-up shower. This bedroom also features a self-controlled A/C and a closet.
Last but not least, the ground floor boasts an indoor, 15 sq. m. swimming pool (minimum-maximum depth: 0.6 m - 1 m), which also functions as a Jacuzzi and can be heated with an additional daily charge per day for the entire stay.
Outdoors
The terrace of Villa Daphne offers a variety of amenities which include:
- A private, ecological, 100 sq. m. swimming pool (0,4 - 1,7 m. deep) equipped with sun beds and umbrellas for your comfort.
- Barbecue facilities and an outdoor dining table under the shade of the pergola give you ample opportunity to try al fresco dining, while an extra shaded seating area and a gazebo are also available.
- On the other side of the pool, is a lawn-covered area with a playground and toys under the olive trees, for your little ones to enjoy all the fun.
- On a covered part of the ground floor veranda, by the pool, is an air hockey, and mini football table, as well as gym equipment including a bicycle, weights, and an exercise bench.
- The whole area is fenced and secured with an alarm system offering our guests safety and privacy!
- Shaded parking space for 3 cars.
- The villa harnesses the power of photovoltaics to seamlessly integrate green energy and sustainable living into its design.
**Accommodation cost excludes Climate Resilience Tax. The amount for the accommodation type is set at EUR15 per night from April to October and EUR4 per night from November to March, payable upon check-in.

Me, my wife and a few other couples / friends all stayed here for a week, and it was absolutely perfect.The villa is incredible - loads of room to spread out, the pool is gorgeous, the view is even better, and all the amenities kept us occupied (table tennis and Nintendo Switch as highlights!). We made good use of the barbecue and all the cooking tools and facilities worked great. The villa is far enough away from others that we could make as much noise as we wanted, but it's also a quick 15 minute walk to the beach, and we also were able to walk into the nearest village and had a delicious meal at the Taverna Poliou House (25 mins).Rethymno town is a short 10 min drive, and our host helped us book taxis no problem (20-25 euros per car).A huge thank you to Sofia and all the hosts who made our stay so lovely, they were incredibly kind and welcoming, we loved the snacks they left us, and we really appreciated the midweek clean and restock! Check in and check out were super easy.We hope to come back again soon, much love!

Just completed a 10 day family vacation to Villa Daphne. Fabulous villa, great pool and surrounding games area with activities for all ages (our ages ranged from 11 to 75). Our stay benefited from hiring a car. Owner Markos could not have been any nicer or more generous and his interaction with us during our stay could not have been any better. Together with the etouri concierge team they provided excellent guidance, recommendations and assistance both before and during our vacation. We cannot thank them all enough for making this a wonderful stay in Rethymnon. We hope to return!!

As a mixed group of 8 friends around 30 years old, we wanted somewhere remote enough yet a short drive away from amenities and with an environment to socialise, eat and drink.
Firstly, as a host, Markos and the etouri concierge team are outstanding at dealing with absolutely any request and are super easy to communicate with and responsive at almost any time, you feel more looked after by them than if you were in a hotel.
The location is great, remote so you can feel comfortable playing music without being conscious of disturbing others and similarly you will not be disturbed there. It’s around 15 minutes drive to get to most places (supermarkets, butchers, beach, restaurants, bars etc.).
The inside of the villa is well suited to hosting groups, but the best part is without doubt the outdoor area. It’s social without being cramped for a large group, has a coal bbq station (everything you need to get it going were provided by the host and even cleaned when the villa was during our stay), there are outdoor games around the centrepiece pool (salt rather than a chlorine system), a portable speaker was provided and if that wasn’t all you’ll probably see the best sunset of your life right there.
