About this villa rental
Kea, also known as Tzia, is one of the closest islands to Athens. Kea is a hidden gem in the Cycladic Islands and has its own unique style. As there are very few hotels on the island, private houses are rented out, most or all of them made of local stone. The island has 45 beaches, most of them accessible by boat. Kea is the ideal island for those that want to relax and have a great vacation.
Villa Christina is on the sea front in the area of Mellisaki, which is 10 minutes by car from the harbor of the island and 5 minutes by car from the nearest organized beach Xyla. The villa is on two levels and consists of a living room with a fireplace, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, a w.c, three master bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and a large guest house. Outside there is a large swimming pool, a Bar, a BBQ and various covered dining and seating areas, where one can relax and enjoy the fantastic sea view as well as the stunning sunsets. From the swimming pool there are steps that lead down to the sea where one can enjoy a swim in the crystal blue waters.
The villa will be de-sanitized, including the air-conditioning units before guests arrive and after their departure.
Facilities: Sleeps up to 8 people , three master bedrooms with double beds and en-suite bathrooms (showers), 1 guest house 70sq meters , sleeps 2;
Amenities: internet, air-conditioning in all the bedrooms, Flat screen TV, DVD player, CD player, hobs, oven, refrigerator, freezer, toaster, washing machine, dishwasher , Nespresso machine, filter coffee, microwave, iron and board, fireplace, heating.
Outdoor amenities: swimming pool, seafront, access to the sea, dining table seats 8, 2nd dining table seats 6, BBQ, near BBQ 2 stone built tables that 6 and 6, 4 sunbeds,4 sunbathing deck chairs.
Dirt road , 4×4 not necessary but recommended .

The house and the pool are very beautiful, and every thing is well thought of (you can literally find everything you need in it). Maria is very helpful and easy to reach and we were even happily surprised with a mid-vacation cleaning (9 nights). The island itself is not for everyone. It is not a very touristic island which is great in some ways and not so great in others (a nice beach with some water sport is about 50 min drive for example). great from a relaxing stay.

Maria Lemos - very competent and no-nonsense quarterback for the trip - handled all aspects of our stay from arranging a private boat transfer from Lavrios, to showing us the island, to arranging the hire car, to troubleshooting questions and issues during our stay. Top notch service - best we have had.
House has gorgeous views of the sea and nearby islands - seen from several outdoor vantage points - you are on the cliff edge. There are at least three terrace spaces to eat and drink comfortably. Many of the places we have stayed in the past shortchanged on outdoor seating - not here. There was plenty of choice of comfy options - from sunbeds to directors chairs to wicker. We cooked fish and meat on the BBQ - and enjoyed morning coffee in the glorious sunshine. Great memories. Reality is better than the pictures! The interior public spaces are cozy - which did not matter as we spent our time outside.
Our party of six occupied three of the four bedrooms - ensuring privacy. Bedrooms are simple and comfortable - the one upstairs has a view of the sea. The (sometimes strong) breezes kept us cool in the evening - we did not use the AC.
It took us a little while to get used to the "no paper in the toilet" rule - one which applies across Kea. We drank only bottled water - including for brushing teeth.
Be sure to rent a 4x4 (we had a little Fiat Panda which did the job) to negotiate the dirt roads - the house is well placed for trips to the gorgeous beaches on the island. We were 15 minutes to the port and shopping. We had fabulous family time.

Nous avons séjourné dans la propriété du 6/08/16 au 18/08/17, et cela reste un souvenir magnifique.
Tous été parfait, kea est une île où il fais bon vivre, très calme. Il n'y a sur l'île que trois routes en goudron sinon, ce sont des chemins de terre (prévoir un 4X4).
Les plages de Koundouros et Spathie, sont les plus jolies.
La villa a une vue a coupé le souffle.
En arrivant, cela fais un petit lotissement de maison (très calme en ce qui nous concerne), une magnifique entrée. De là ce trouve la terrasse divisé en plusieurs petits coins, et la piscine à l'eau de mer.
Dans la maison, au rez de chaussée, une cuisine (très bien équipée, il manque a mon avis un micro onde), une salle à mangé, un salon.
A l'étage une chambre double avec un bureau et une salle de bain, wc.
En bas de la maison (accés intérieur) 2 chambre double avec 2 salle de bain, wc
A ce niveau aussi un petit appartement avec entrée séparée, avec un grand lit, des banquettes, salle de bain, wc.
J'ai échanger plusieurs mails avec Maria, qui m'a répondu très rapidement, elle a fais son possible pour l'organisation de notre séjour (réservation du ferry, conseil sur les restaurants, les plages par exemple........). Pendant notre séjour, nous avons vu Stravos, qui est l'homme d'entretien, une personne qui ne parle pas anglais mais avec qui les échanges ont été fort sympathiques.
Merci a eux pour leur gentillesse.
J'espère revenir un jour.
