Very Cozy Place Near the Central Train Station

Very cozy and homely apartment to stay in especially if you are travelling around Scotland. Very easy to catch trains and after a day out, it felt so nice to come back here to relax and sleep. Great kitchen facilities, the hosts left a very nice card and beer and milk in the fridge, a very nice touch. There is a washing machine with detergent. The shop right around the corner in the gas station was great for all the basics you need!

Fantastic stay

Ground floor flat. No stairs to deal with. Lovely personal welcome with a handwritten card. 3 complimentary craft ales in the fridge. Great communication from the host and apartment cleaned in the middle of my stay. Would highly recommend.

We had a lovely time at the property and hope to be back again.

We liked the easy way to get access to the property. It was immaculately clean, there was lots of tea, coffee, condiments, etc in the cupboards. The folder with all the instruction manuals was very helpful. On entering the property there was a lovely handwritten card welcoming us together with a large bottle of Prosecco and a packet of yummy shortbread.

“Simply the Best”.

This is a very comfortable one bedroom apartment on the ground floor in a quiet part of central Helensburgh train and only a few minutes walk to Helensburgh Central train station and a 10 - 15 minute walk to Helensburgh Upper Station (for the West Highland Rail trip). The apartment is well appointed and suitable for cooking meals. The shower is the best I have used so far into our 4 country and multiple locations stays. Great pressure and plenty of hot water. Decent sized rooms too so we didn’t feel cramped. The washing machine and drying rack and iron etc. were very welcomed. Useful pantry items available for use. A lovely gift left in the fridge along with some locally made shortcake. On street parking was easy and adjacent to the property (not connected to or in view) is a useful Tesco Express / Petrol Station. Also so close to the inlet and a lovely walk along the water. Penny and Alex (property hosts) responded promptly and helpfully to our queries and gave excellent instructions on how to access the apartment upon arrival. We had a hiccup on our last night in the way of being stranded in Fort William after flash flooding prevented our train returning us to Helensburgh. I contacted Penny late in the evening to explain we may not be back in time to checkout by the required time the next morning and she couldn’t have been more helpful and reassuring us that it would all be fine. We finally located a taxi to drive us 2hrs back to Helensburgh and Penny kindly extended our check out time in the morning so we could have a proper rest before driving on to the Isle of Skye today. Highly recommend Cedar Apartments to people reading this review and we will definitely return if back in Scotland again. Thank you Penny and Alex.

I chose the apartment after looking at the good reviews it received & I wasn't disappointed.

Location was ideal for where I needed to be, property was comfy & cosy, nice warm powerful shower with a big enclosure. Plenty of parking spaces on the street in front of the property. Decor was fresh, apartment was well maintained & clean, tea, coffee and sugar provided along with other essentials, there was milk & a nice wee treat of a few beers left in the fridge for me when I arrived. Hosts were very helpful, spoke to Penny when she phoned to make sure I arrived OK & was told just to call her if I needed help with anything, also had a nice wee welcome card to greet me when I arrived at the apartment.

A lovely appartment : just what we needed!

Location was super. Just a short walk into town. Plenty of parking space outside the property. A pleasant surprise for us in the fridge. Penny was very helpful. She even turned the heating on for us as she realised we would be arriving late.

Great location - parking was super easy and so close to town. Flat was extremely clean and had everything we needed, lovely and cosy to come home to especially after a particularly stormy day. Heating was also really easy to adjust as needed. Really thoughtful gifts from the owners made the stay even more special.

Wonderful apartment

Very clean and comfortable. Hosts were excellent. They left basic stuff for us to get started and a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge! Lovely touch. Very handy to walk to the shops, bars and restaurants. A Tesco Extra literally a two minute walk away. Would definitely stay here again

Avrei messo 8 o forse 9 come punteggio, ma purtroppo il televisore non è Smart, non è possibile collegarlo al wi-fi per YouTube o per lo streaming, e nel 2025 mi sembra una cosa veramente insostenibile. Ho avuto qualche difficoltà a dormire perché il letto è abbastanza corto e io sono molto alto, ed avendo il bordo alzato in fondo dei piedi, ho dovuto dormire inclinato perché non ci stavo. Inoltre la finestra non chiude perfettamente in camera da letto e c'è uno spiffero di aria ed è un po' fastidioso perché è molto freddo e ventoso durante la notte.
