Downs Gate Cottage

Location is great. Just at the start of the trek along the cost and a good stroll along the seaside to the center. Great pub just in front of the cottage. Tesco at just 2min.

Everything was good

So comfortable, well equipped, spacious, light and airy and in a fabulous location.

Nothing major at all but the front door is very sticky and hard to open sometimes. It didn’t affect our stay, just wanted to mention it.

The location is great. Very close to the seafront. Easy instructions

The cleanliness at the property was not good and the property was very tired. The sheet on the one of the beds had a hole in it, the linen was tired, faded, bobbley and old. The blind in the front bedroom had stains on it and the pull cord was full of knots and dirty. The bathroom sink was full of hair and the radiators where thick with dust. The shower in the double room did not work properly and could not be used. The chairs in the conservatory clearly hadn't been moved for a while as they were full of cobwebs. The sofas smelt of damp dog and the cushions were also stained. The front door was also difficult at times, we struggled to unlock the door a number of times (this is a fire hazard) - looking at other reviews this has been a problem for some time.
