About this house rental

3 bed semi detached Eco-style lodge beach house. Nestled behind the rugged cliffs you will find the peaceful development of Towan Valley and it's contemporary designed houses. Just a 6 minute walk to Porthtowan beach and local village amenities plus many other beautiful coastal walks which makes it ideal for walkers. Property provides all modern appliances throughout including smart TV and free WiFi. Perfect for family holidays, weekend breaks, out of season outdoor activity breaks or just keen surfers who wish to literally walk from the property with surf board (secure storage provided) onto the beach! Lovely decking to front of property for alfresco dining or breakfast in the sun!

Please note the walk to/from the beach is down/up a hill so not suitable for guests with accessibility requirements.

If anything the pictures understate how nice this property is. It feels like a family home rather than a rental. It’s really well equipped and a short walk to the beach / village. We’d definitely stay again.

Good,well equipped, spacious house. Host very helpful. Plenty of towels. Welcome pack lovely. Not for people with mobility issues as it's up a steep hill. You need a car as taxis are very expensive. Popular towns are some distance away. Without own transport you're stuck. Local shopping facilities very limited. House ants problem. Cleanliness a bit patchy. Noise from kids in nearby house very early in am.

A perfect house for a holiday in Porthtowan and to see the surrounding attractions. The house was perfect for us with a high chair for our toddler, a well equipped kitchen and comfy beds and sofas. The walk up the hill was less of a challenge than I had expected - you just need to be prepared for this.

We loved our holiday in Cornwall and this holiday home was perfect in every way as was the host, Ailsa. This home was plenty spacious for our family of 5 (3 teenagers) and is so handy for the beach, which is idyllic. The house has everything you could possibly need from body boards to baskets for your shoes at the front door. Definitely a well thought out holiday home. Thank you for contributing to a memorable holiday.

This house has everything for your stay, it’s a real home from home. It’s a perfect location to explore the coast and Porthowan is a great place with a few places to eat and drink! The beach is fabulous and we even managed a swim in the tidal pool when the sea was too rough to bodyboard in. Ailsa’s communication was brilliant throughout. The only very small downside was the very soft beds - but that’s down to personal preference and it didn’t ruin the holiday at all!

Ailsa is a wonderful host and her communication throughout was fantastic. Valentyne has everything you need and more. The decor is beautiful and the light in the master bedroom is stunning! We did find the steep hill a problem for myself (recovering from cancer treatment) and my elderly mother but I would consider returning when I am fitter! An enjoyable stay, shame about the weather.. 😂

The property is very well maintained, in an excellent location, Beach is 5-10 mins walk, 2 mins drive to Porthtowan Beach. The property was clean and all you need for a family stay including body boards, buckets and spades etc for young kids. The property owner Ailsa was extremely helpful. Gwithian Beach 20 mins drive away well worth a visit as is Constantine Bay 30 mins drive. Perranporth as well as a bit more lively with good bars during the evening. Highly recommended.

Lovely property , clean and a great thoughtful welcome pack. Very comfortable decor ans food location would definitely come again. Suggestions for improvement - resort wide WiFi was a bit temperamental if needing to log in to anything important- and this is essential as no phone or 4G signal there Also maybe a bigger outdoor dining table should more Than. 4 people be staying eg a picnic type table ?

The property is a modern, comfortable and very well equipped house. It is within a small complex of purpose built eco houses in a valley a short climb from the centre of the village and beach. The village is not too developed, which suited us and has direct access to the SW coastal; path with magnificent sea and cliff views. Communication with property holder was excellent.

The property was exactly as described and more.It had all the amenities you could wish for. I have never seen such a well equipped property.There was a small problem with the flush on the toilet which was fixed within 24 hours.Overall full marks well deserved.

We stayed here for a week Sept ‘20. It was just perfect. Great space for us (4 adults & two children). We brought everything with us but the wonderful owners have already supplied everything you need from children’s plates, cutlery etc, Tupperware, beach toys, stair gate and so on. The space outside the house was great for our little one to play. Only a 5 min walk to the beach. We really felt at home, which made our week that much more relaxing. Yummy cookies, orange juice, milk and bread on arrival was lovely. We also received a message from the owner on our way down wishing us a safe journey, this just shows the extra mile they go. Porthtowan is a perfect place for those who love the beach, surfing and amazing coastal views. It is quieter than some other local areas which was perfect for our ‘grown-up’ family. A welcome pack of yummy Cornish goodies and breakfast fare was waiting for us on arrival. Also, a Covid supply bag of sanitiser, wipes, gloves etc was a thoughtful addition for these unusual times. We could easily have stayed another week, and hope to come back again soon!

Just back from a fabulous week in Porthtowan. The property is spacious, light and clean with all we needed. The master bedroom with balcony and en-suite felt like a hotel room. Great location to walk down to the beach and access the south west coast path. Porthtowan did not seem overcrowded even in August yet had all we needed with bar, cafe, ice cream parlour, beach shop and convenience store. A very relaxing week away. Hope to be back soon.

Lovely home from home, plenty of room, plenty of bedding and towels. Lovely arriving to bread, milk, eggs, sausages, bacon and juice, thank you. 😊� Beautiful Porthtowan, amazing beach and lovely village. We had a blast, feeling safe and relaxed. Note that the 5 minute walk to the beach is down /up a fairly steep hill/road but it wouldn't put us off returning, just a need to know if you have any issues.

We rented this property in July 2019, family of five. Lovely well maintained property in a great location and offers good parking. Walking distance to Porthtowan beach which itself is great. Perfect base for visiting Newquay, St. Ives, Eden project, Lands End and more. Owner very helpful, all instructions clear and precise. Thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Cannot fault this lovely property. It is a short walk down to the beach with fantastic walks along the coastal footpath. The village of Porthtowan has everything you need from a village shop to cafes and pubs not forgetting the wonderful beach! The property is very well furnished, tastefully decorated and is very spacious. The kitchen has every possible cooking utensil you need. We stayed during the winter and the house was lovely and warm with lots of blankets supplied for snuggling up on the sofa. We would definitely recommend this house and will be returning!
