bien plus qu’un logement de vacances, un petit paradis, un havre de paix, de tranquillité et de charme, un délicieux petit village où les habitants s’entraident pour faire tourner la petite mais bien achalandée buttega, où ils vous accueillent bras ouverts et sourire aux lèvres, un lieu chargé d’histoire où les gens font tout pour à la fois préserver leur vallée et l’ouvrir au monde, avec un passionnant musée ethnographique à Cabbio, un moulin restauré à Bruzella par Irene qui s’occupe avec beaucoup de gentillesse et de disponibilité de la gestion du logement, le magnifique Monte Generoso et mille endroits magiques à découvrir tout autour, mille balades à faire, un endroit rare, unique, fait de valeurs, de chaleur humaine et d’hospitalité, où on n’a pas envie de sortir du village tellement on s’y sent bien, on a juste envie de se poser sur un banc ou à la Casa Communale pour contempler la vallée et profiter du plaisir de la conversation des gens qui passent et vous saluent, laisser filer le temps, le bonheur, la paix intérieure...

Gîte très original, village pittoresque, hôtesse très arrangeante.

The place has a great view of the mountains. The place is quiet and the total space is relatively large, so suitable also for families. There is a good set of equipment in the house, including all basic kitchen equipment (except for the kettle).

When I arrived the house was closed, and nobody waited for me. I sent a message to the place owner via the messaging system of booking.com and started to wait. After half an hour of waiting, I tried to call the contact number provided, but nobody replied. Luckily, I met the local person who knows the owner of this place. He was very kind and called the private number of the place owner. It turned out that the owner was on holiday and had forgotten about my reservation. But I was able to talk to the owner, she apologises for the situation. We agreed that in half an hour somebody from the local community will come to open the house. Also, she promised that a bit later in the evening the cleaning lady shall come, bring the bed-line and clean the house, as the house hasn't been prepared for my arrival. After 15 minutes the local people come, open the door, give me the key and left. I waited for the cleaning lady till late evening, but she didn't show up. I sent several messages to the place owner, but she didn't reply. Finally, I had to clean the house by myself (luckily I found all the required tools in the restroom). Also, I managed to find a bed-line so I could prepare the bed and sleep. But as you can imagine, instead of spending the second part of the first day doing the sightseeing, I had to resolve all these issues. Also, as nobody has shown me the place, I faced several smaller issues, e.g., had problems with the entrance door key, couldn't find the wi-fi password, etc. Moreover, the next night it was rainy outside, and I woke up in the middle of the night because of water falling from the roof next to the entrance door. Unfortunately, the chair with my clothes and the bedside table with the lamp was under the leakage area. Luckily, I woke up when it started. I moved the bedside table back to back to the bed. Then I had to dry and clean the table and my stuff, put the large saucepan under the mainstream, and remove water from the floor...
