The location was great. 20min walk to the city centre, and there are two very good restaurants nearby. Very nice to have the possibility to park on the street, even though there is no dedicated parking spot, we had no issues finding a place to park every day. The host was very friendly and the view was great. It's very nice to have a kitchen to cook some simpler meals in. It's a really great place to explore the island of São Miguel by day, and wind down during the night.
The sofa was in really bad shape, and the furniture in the apartment could be a bit more comfortable. A bit more stable chairs on the balcony and it wouldn't hurt with another armchair next to the sofa. The promised A/C could only help with de-humidification but would make the room hotter, since it wasn't connected to the outside.

once we landed, we met with Afonso at the apartment and good a full explanation of all that was needed. Moreover, he sat with us for 35 minutes bringing us a map of the island and telling us where, what and when we should do and went down to the smallest details according to our needs(like recommending on vegetarian restaurants at each place he recommended us to go. Even after we left his property and went to the next location for the weekend, he kept contact with us and helped us around via Whatsapp. Recommended without a doubt!
Nothing, this guys is a king! really! anything we needed we received and even more!
