Central location in Hochkönig area.
Nice location with close walking distance to lifts. Very nice hostess, even though with limited English skills. Room very nice and clean. Beautiful view from the apartment.
Closest market in Maria Alm, so car is definitely needed. WC quite small.

An excellent hotel, quiet, clean warm and friendly, very close to ski lift.
The hotel was in excellent condition, clean and functional. Theresia, the Haus Frau was warm friendly and very helpful nothing was too much trouble.
Perhaps a small fridge in my room for drinks and snacks, however I was allowed to use the fridge in the common room/bar for this purpose so no real problem. Hinterthal did lack a bit of choice for apres ski though, most options were hotel bars/restaurants which were few in number, I think it would benefit from a bar/pub which would liven up the evenings a little. But if a quiet town/village is your choice, you are unlikely to find a better place from which to ski. Probably not ideal for a Novice skier, as the only run home from the top is a testing Red run so skill level should be considered.

Wintersport in klein Oostenrijks dorp op 200 meter van skilift.
Locatie is zeer goed bereikbaar zonder ingewikkelde bergpassen/kans op sneeuwkettingen. Ontvangst door Theresia zeer hartelijk. Ze is actief bezig om locatie met aantal kamers/appartementen te managen. De dichtsbijzijnde kabelbaan is aan andere kant van de doorgaande weg (200 meter). Lijkt me ook mooi gebied voor zomervakantie. Gebied Hochkoning met zijn houten stoelen op de 6 'toppen' is prima voor 4 dagen ski-plezier.
Hintherthal is klein dorpje aan skipiste. Hier geen grote apres-ski. Is wat meer in Maria-Alm op zo'n 7 kilometer. Kijk even goed wat je boekt. Op de foto's zag ik mooie appartementen. Ik had niet goed genoeg gekeken want ik had een kamer gehuurd ipv appartement. Is niet grootste probleem, maar daardoor wel elke avond op pad om te eten.
