TD Dimora Arcadia with Breathtaking Sea View

The rooftop view of this place is stunning. We spent most every morning and evening up here. The rooms were clean with a modern flair, very well appointed and comfortable. Be aware that this in the ZTL zone and thus you are not allowed to drive a car in this historic area 24/7. We had to park a fair amount away and carry luggage into the zone. But… the location was great, right in the heart of the historic district and near the water. Would definitely stay here again.

Nothing, it was good but would warn about the stairs to the terrace if not already for those with mobility issues. Also we tripped over the bottom of the terrace door a few times. Just be cautious as it is near the stair opening.

L'appartamento si presenta nuovo, completamente ristrutturato e il terrazzo ha una bellissima vista su Monopoli e sul mare.

La cosa più antipatica è di dover firmare un contratto obbligatorio per il soggiorno (in 20 anni la prima volta che mi capita). Dove accetti tutte le regole della struttura, con sanzione di 200€ se non dividi bene e metti fuori i bidoni dei rifiuti in base al calendario locale. Inoltre se rompi un oggetto devi ripagarlo 2/3 volte il suo valore. Anche se riscontrano che manca qualcosa potrebbero addebitartelo, ma non esiste una lista di oggetti che devi controllare e firmare. Negli accessori previsti doveva esserci la macchinetta del caffè, ma non c'è (avevamo comprato anche un pacco di cialde, mai utilizzate), dunque potrebbero accusarci di averla sottratta. Nella descrizione erano indicati tutti i locali a disposizione, tuttavia non menzionano che i piani totali sono 5 e che per andare in bagno si deve arrivare al 3° piano, degli anziani avrebbero seri problemi a salire e scendere tutte queste scale. Una delle camere è collocata (incastrata) alla fine di un corridoio, il letto occupa pienamente l'intera stanza, lasciando 30cm per parte per passare, la finestra era sprovvista di tende oscuranti o tapparelle, dunque la mattina il risveglio con la luce naturale era obbligatorio. Nello stesso piano c'è un bagno, completamente cieco e privo di aspiratore, purtroppo ce ne siamo accorti solo dopo averne già usufruito. Siamo stati costretti ad aprire tutte le finestre e spostarci su un altro piano. Il terrazzo è bellissimo, ma al tempo stesso pericoloso, in quanto ha un muretto più una ringhiera molto bassi, che un bambino in 2 secondi può scavalcare e cadere sotto. Anche le scale sono stupende ma sono sprovviste di una paratia, hanno dei semplici cavi estetici verticali, molto distanziati che non garantiscono la sicurezza per dei bambini.

After the full priced had been paid, the agency presented us with some contracts that we were obliged to sign. The worst part was the “house rules”; for instance, you would be charged at least €200 (!) if you put the garbage out on the wrong day - however there was no information what the correct days would be. Broken or missing items would also be charged up to 30 times the actual value, but also no documentation what items actually were present. We had a written agreement that this documentation should be presented before they blocked our account for a deposit, but this was not done. For instance the coffee machine was missing - according to contract they would have been entitled to charge us for a new one! The agency also sent us to the wrong address, and kept us waiting there for more than an hour. My husband and I are experienced travelers and have rented numerous flats, but never ever experienced something like this. The house is very highly priced and one should expect service at quite another level.
