On arrival we were greated by an Italian lady who spoke no English. She thrust a piece of paper at us which informed us we had to pay the city tax. She got her priorities right. We had no hot water, heating or gas on arrival. I found what looked like an immersion heater in a cupboard and turned it on. My son arrived to see we were ok and the lady re-appeared as she thought it was other guests arriving for the other apaartment upstairs (we were all there for my sons wedding). I managed to show her the oven and the lack of gas which she rectified. When the guests arrived in the upstairs apartment they too had the same issues but unfortunately they had no heating for the duration of the stay because it was "broken". Not ideal as the temperature during our stay wasnt as warm as we were expecting and guite cool in the evenings.
What would have been nice was for the water, gas and heating to have been working when we arrived the welcome would have felt and been much warmer.
The accommodation boasted a lovely pool area but that was covered up all the time we were there and looked like it had been covered for some time as the top was covered with filthy water and algae.
