About this villa rental

Villa Maruka is a traditional Dalmatian stone house from the 19th century newly renovated into a luxury villa for 6 guests. It is situated in the peaceful old centre of the village Mirca, perfect for families or groups of friends looking for relaxation in an authentic island location.

The villa consists of 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, dining and living room with a fireplace, mini-bar and a TV set. All together over 120m2 of the interior. Outside, in the forecourt of the villa is a swimming pool with hydro massage and attractive covered outside dining area with BBQ. A sundeck is positioned to capture the best views of the sea and Dalmatian coast.
The nearest beach is only 800 meters from the villa (10 minutes’ walk!), a grocery shop is less than 2 minutes by walk and the nearby town of Supetar with its busy cafes, restaurants and shops is within 5 minutes’ drive or 30 to 45 minutes stroll.

- THE STORY OF THE HOUSE AND THE OWNERS:
Villa Maruka is a typical Dalmatian old house built by my family in the 19th century. My father was still born in this house, but than it had been empty for almost 50 years, until we renovated it in 2007/2008 and gave her new life. Before the construction works on the villa began, we consulted the Split conservation office to preserve as much as possible of the existing Dalmatian architectural tradition and its original charm, but at the same time to meet the highest modern living standards. I hope the villa will exceed your expectations!
Most importantly, I will be there to welcome you and help you discover the best of our island. I live full time in Mirca and will be happy to recommend my favorite restaurants and local food, things to see in the area and experiences you should not miss. I hope to share with you my love for this country and make your vacation here the most memorable.
I look forward to meeting you in Mirca!
Yours sincerely, Sanja Sinovcic Lovrinovic

After much research, we (5 adults) decided to celebrate my mothers 60th birthdays at Villa Maruka. Sanja is so very helpful, answering many questions I had over email and always quick to respond. The Villa has been tastefully brought back to life, with lovely furniture and decor to suit. The beds are very comfy, I have a bad back and found them to be fine for me. The kitchen may be on the smaller side but is very well equipped. We enjoyed the outside eating area everyday. Housekeeping was kept at a high standard throughout our stay, lovely lady. The many bathrooms were great to have with 5 adults. Sanja arranged for a fabulous masseuse to visit the villa for pool side massages, perfect holiday treat! We experienced a power cut one evening, which we didn't mind. Sanja came to check on us and informed us power was out in the whole village, which was thoughtful. We enjoyed star glazing by the poolside that night. Plenty of hot water when all the bathrooms were in use at all the same time. The local shop has everything you may need and fresh bread every morning. We did visit the larger supermarket in Supetar for a big shop. We ate most nights in Supetar, although we did visit a few nearby towns also. A car is definitely useful, unless you don't want to leave the villa during your stay. An evening stroll in Milna was lovely. Also visited Pucisca and Bol. Bol, yes the beach is amazing but we preferred the monastery side. There is a lovely cove beach and a few good restaurants that end. We really can't faulty any part of our stay at Villa Maruka. We would love to visit again one day. There is the villa name and star rating just as you enter the property, don't know why this is only 4 stars!! Needs to be more. We even had a homemade birthday cake waiting for our arrival, which was delicious and my mother was very touched by this lovely gesture. Thank you Sanja for all your help and advise. Lisa, Simon, Tally, Theresa (the birthday girl!) and Jim.

We loved out stay - a beautiful villa in a quiet location. Sanja was very helpful, quickly sorting out our lost internet connection after a storm, organised our car hire and speed boat taxi back to the airport. A perfect holiday destination.

we cant thank Sanja enough for our stay in this lovely villa in beautiful surroundings. We stayed at Villa Maruka for 10 days as a family of four plus two friends and it really was a lovely time spent just relaxing and enjoying this wonderful island. from the moment Sanja met us on our arrival, we were made to feel very welcome and we were so pleased when we arrived at the villa and saw how comfortable and clean it was. Sanja was always on hand for anything we needed and we loved the fresh grapes and tomatoes that were brought from her garden. it really was a great holiday and we are already thinking about coming back next year. Thanks Sanja x.
