About this house rental
Welcome to The Mane House at Canaan Valley where you can enjoy your own private estate, while only being a couple of miles from the City of Asheville.
The house is over 5,000 square feet with plenty of room to stretch out.
There are 40 acres of hiking trails to explore if you really want to stretch out.
We have lots of wildlife such as turkeys, deer and flocks of geese.
Walk in the front door and fall in love with the cathedral ceilings and winding staircase. The house is perfect for large groups and has plenty of cozy gathering spaces. There are also plenty of bedrooms to get away from it all.
There are 4 upstairs bedrooms.
Bedroom 1 has a King bed and a private bath.
The other three rooms share a centralized bathroom.
Bedroom 2 has a Queen bed.
Bedroom 3 has two Queen beds.
Bedroom 4 has a full beds and four twins. This is our bunk room/library and is a guest favorite. The bunk room must be accessed through the double queen room.
Bedroom 5 is on the main level and has one king bed.
Bedroom 6 is the Master on the main level. It boasts tray ceilings and a spa quality bathroom complete with steam shower and Copper Clawfoot tub.
The kitchen is nicely appointed with double Thermador Ovens and a 6 burner Thermador range. It is the perfect place to cook up a large family meal and it even has two dishwashers to help clean up the mess.
Gather for stories around one of the two wood burning fireplaces. Hit the sunroom for a ping pong match. Catch the game on the 70" Smart TV. Hang out on the back patio under the gazebo. Head over to the outdoor pavilion and fire up the grill. The opportunities are endless.
The property is breathtaking. Plan a getaway, family reunion or corporate retreat.
Canaan Valley has two rental houses that sleep up to a total of 24 guests, (check out the Hen House #9127134)
We are not a management company. We are the owners and Canaan Valley Farms is our home. We live on the property and are always available should we be needed, but we only come when called, your privacy is important to us. We feel very blessed to live in such an amazing place and look forward to sharing it with your family.

We brought together 4 families from from 4 to 79 of age and found activities in the Asheville area to please them all. The fishing pond was a hit with the children. Overall a fun vacation.

We had a wonderful time on the property- we were a large group with several adults and kids ages 7-17. There was plenty of space for everyone to sleep comfortably and find their own quiet place when they needed down time. Our family enjoyed sitting outside on the covered patio, playing games in the large backyard, feeding the donkeys, and just enjoying the peace and quiet of the property. We had some issues with the water system turning off but Dan responded to any issues immediately and was able to make repairs without too much inconvenience. It is a beautiful property and a close drive to stores and downtown Asheville,

Three generations, including former spouse, three children, one daughter in law and four grands - 6-13 , two boys and two girls . Fishing, horseback, around the fire pit a couple evenings, hiking and games on property. Off site, hiking to a waterfall, tubing the river, golf all generations at the Donald Ross designed Muni , , and a exquisite dinner on Terrace at the Grove Park with fabulous views, food and memories enjoyed by all 10 of us. , salt cave and massage experiences and normal sightseeing and shopping.
To borrow from Sir Winston Churchill, " I am very easily pleased with the very best . " Compares favorably to my journey to India as a guest of the Oberoi Group, Asia finest hotel and resort group . I will give up of my memory of view of the Tag from my room in India.

granddaughter and me as she landed her first big mouth bass from the pond in front of the house ( and it was big ! )

This house is very very nice! If you like horses, there are two right out the back door. You can walk your kids down to the pond right down the driveway and feed the ducks. Talk to the donkey and Shetland pony right across from the pond.Enjoy cooking in the amazing kitchen and above all enjoy time with your family in this amazing house.
