About this chalet rental

New for 2025....All house guests get free Public transport anywhere in Salzburgerland....
Hunters House is located near the town centre in the beautiful town of Lofer. This traditional Austrian chalet sleeps 16 in its 8 bedrooms. The detached home is surrounded on 3 sides by open countryside. The chalet is located in the winter skiing and summer white water town of Lofer just 24 miles from Salzburg airport. None of the villages 13 restaurants are more than 10 mins walk from the house. The village ski lift is just an 8 min walk (or 1 minute drive!) from the house where you can catch a cable car up to the 58km of pisted slopes in the winter; or to the beautiful mountain pastures in the summer to explore the scenic and waterfall strewn paths.
Our basement games room is equipped with a 7ft slate pool table, a 5ft Garlando table football game and a 6ft air hockey table. The basement living room is equipped with TV, British freeview and blueray dvd player.

Good Family vacation house
Good Family vacation house
We had a very pleasant stay at this house. We are a family of 12 (ages 12-74) We stayed for one week at the end of June this year 2015. The physical setting was spectacular - the mountains, fields and the village. There are an abundance of restaurants to walk to and things for the teen agers to do. There are all kinds of outdoor activities. Bicycles, swimming, the gondola and hiking. The location allows for day trips to such places as Salzburg, Eagles Nest, Zellum Zee and more. The house was well equipped. The game rooms were a hit with the younger members of the family. There were more than adequate bedroom and bathrooms for 12. We did find it difficult to understand the Austrian system of garbage and recycling and when/where to take things. The owners helped us as best they could. We would recommend this house to large groups of friends and family.
