About this apartment rental
This one/two bedroom fully equipped Air Conditioned apartment for the over 50's is situated right on the beach offering fantastic views of the Mediterranean. It has everything for a tranquil and comfortable stay while you enjoy all that Gibraltar has to offer. Sleeps 4. Please note: The apartment is in a retirement complex strictly for those aged 50 or over and is NOT suitable for children.
The apartment is on a lower ground floor but can be accessed via a lift. Immediately below is the glorious beach of Sandy Bay. From the apartment you can see the beautiful Mediterranean Sea, Spain and in the distance the coast of North Africa. There is a balcony where you can sit and enjoy the wonderful views. In the evening sit with a nice chilled glass of wine whilst listening to the waves gently lapping at your feet, a wonderful way to end the day. Truly this is the best of Both Worlds. This apartment is our second/holiday home so you will find it is kept to a very high standard and a real home from home. The apartment is fully furnished including Smart TV with satellite channels and WIFI internet access. The large leather sofa converts to a bed in one easy movement, it simply rolls out, and has a proper frame and mattress. You can also access all the amenities available in the complex including the Gymnasium, Billiards/Games Room, Laundry and communal Lounge/Library.
Sandy Bay is a natural sun trap with golden sands a clear waters.
There is a shuttle bus service into town that stops right outside the door, (the journey is about 10 minutes) and a few minutes walk down the road is the 5 Star Caleta Hotel at Catalan Bay where you can enjoy the luxury services they have on offer including a Wellness Centre with a range of treatments, or simply enjoy a coffee on the terrace or in the evening a meal in the italian restaurant followed by cocktails on the terrance overlooking the Med.
Gibraltar is genuinely Britain in the Sun, from the bobbies on the beat to the red telephone boxes it will remind you of home. Gibraltarians are staunch supporters of the UK and fiercely proud of their Crown Colony status. Gibraltarians are warm and friendly, nothing is too much trouble.

Came across this apartment, after being told 5 weeks before due to flying out to Gibraltar that our apartment had been double booked and cancelled. Booked this one, bit more expensive, but needed it. Good contact with Gloria, paperwork all done, and we were ready to go.
Good flight with BA, taxi to Both Worlds and met by Pat, our host till Jill came back near the end of the week. They were both helpful and knowledgeable about things if we needed anything. Apartment was spacious for the two of us, on the beach or in town most of the time, exploring. Jill offered to take us to the airport, but I’d met up with a friend in the Gibraltar regiment who offered his service to take us.
Overall, the apartment was excellent and would recommend it to anyone. Gloria was at the end of the phone if needed, and the hosts in Gibraltar were always at hand if needed.
