About this cottage rental
Old farm house of 2 centuries, with walls of stone, adobe and tapial 1 meter thick, completely rehabilitated in the year 2. 015-16
It has 9 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 2 fully equipped kitchens, and 3 lounges equipped with fireplaces of 12, 16 and 25 comfortable seats respectively.
They can be accommodated, depending on the season, from couples, independent groups of 10 people or a maximum of 20 people, always having total privacy, without the need to share any common area.
¨ "Alamar" occupies a complete block of 2000 meters in the center of town. The area for porches with garden furniture, fruit trees and barbecues area is 1500 meters.
The property's cellar, excavated in 250-year-old rock, is ideal to hold a tasting session with little notice.

At the foot and spotting "El Teso de las Brujas" of the Torozos mountains, is the old house "Alamar", inside the urban center of Tiedra.
In another hour Amallóbriga. Beautiful population of the last western foothills of the mentioned Torozos mountains. With beautiful views, landscapes and skies.
The distance to Valladolid is 54 km and to Toro 17 km where you can visit its 200 wineries, vineyards and tastings.
The Lagunas de Villafáfila are very close to contemplate and observe birds.
Beautiful route of nearby castles, including ours, recently restored from the 13th century.
It is located at one end of the village on a breakwater from which the Toro countryside can be seen.
Castles of Villavellid, Torrelobatón, Montealegre, Urueña, Medina del Campo, Simancas, Fuensaldaña, etc.
In Tiedra we have an excellent route of 8 fountains (18 km) ideal for walkers or cyclists to enjoy nature. They are linked to traditional ways of life: well for fires, laundries and drinking troughs. Covered springs of Roman origin and medieval fountains.
Of its 4 churches the one of the Savior is conserved. Our hermitage of baroque style, located in the hill where the primitive population was (archaeological rest), the inn of the XVII century has been conserved.
Other interesting buildings are the Pósito of 1793 (next to the house).
We have the only Astronomical Observatory with a planetarium in Castilla-León.

- Typical dishes: Cooked and pork slaughter products, marinated with the wines of Ribera del Duero and D. O, of Toro. Mantecadas and puff pastries typical of Tiedra.
-In the calendar: In Tiedra the "Encounter with the Medieval" and "The assault on the Castle" (August) are celebrated and its castle is the stage of "The evenings of the castles" (July-August).
-Activities: Going to Tiedra during the feast of the Águedas (February), maintained by a brotherhood whose tradition goes back to the seventeenth century: women tiedranas, who have maintained music and ancient liturgies, wear rich traditional costumes.

Éramos 3 familias con niños y buscábamos una casa grande y cómoda. Tiedra nos sorprendió con sus paisajes y su cielo nocturno. La casa nos sorprendió con sus muchas posibilidades: habitaciones amplias, gran salón-cocina para las reuniones de interior y un enorme patio con muchos rincones en los que organizarse una buena mesa. El propietario nos sorprendió con sus discretos cuidados y atenciones, siempre dispuesto a darlo todo porque nuestra estancia fuera perfecta.
Un gran acierto que repetiremos.

Pasamos unos días fabulosos del 4 al 10 de agosto. Dos familias, 4 adultos y 4 niños. Tuvimos un tiempo estupendo y no salimos de la piscina, a pesar de q tiene un pequeño coste merece la pena pagarlo y disfrutar de las instalaciones.
Disfrutamos mucho haciendo barbacoas.

Hemos estado 5 días en Alamar, 4 adultos y 5 niños. El pueblo está en un bonito entorno para pasear y ver el castillo tan bonito q tiene el pueblo. El propietario nos enseñó el.pueblo q , precisamente, estaba en fiestas. La casa está bien situada y es amplia y estaba muy limpia. El descanso es bueno pq es trankilo y se está fresco ya que la casa es antigua pero rehabilitada. Visitaremos de nuevo ese cielo estrellado.

Fui con la familia (hijos/nietos) y pasamos un gran fin de semana. La casa está bien y el trato del propietario excelente.
La visita al Observatorio de Tiedra, con niños, un exitazo y nos "perdimos" también por el Canal de Castilla (Medina de Rioseco) y Urueña , en ambos casos unas visitas magnificas. El propio Tiedra está en la ruta de los castillos con uno magnifico.
No nos dió el tiemnpo para mas.
