The hosts at Edelweiss were fantastic, the food was delicious, and the property was beautiful!

The breakfast was great, it was a varied continental breakfast with a high quality selection. The homemade jams/marmalades was our main highlight, as well as the selection of sliced cheeses.

This is unavoidable for the region, but there are tons of flies in the common areas of the hotel because of the open windows/doors for temperature regulation. Also, my room (clipper) had a strange whining sound that I think was due to a pipe.

The location is fantastic, traditional Austrian feel from the building. Great views and very peaceful. All staff were excellent, friendly and helpful.

Amazing service from the kindest hosts we've met. The breakfast was excellent with great selection of freshly baked breads, homemade jellies, amazing local cheeses, eggs, yogurt, fruits, etc. We also had two lovely dinners there with local wine, schnapps, etc. However, the main attraction is the location. It's high in the mountains with amazing views, peaceful and relaxing. We had a memorable hike through beautiful fields, waterfalls, and pastures.

It's too far from Los Angeles :)

Was great - exactly what we have been looking for.

Absolutly great location if you like it quit and if you like nature. We enjoyed our stay. Perfect view towards the mountains around. The street towards the location is narrow - but you get reembursed throght a great location when you arrived. Staff extremly friendly, helpful and authentic.

Dreamy spot in Au!

Absolutely a wonderful place! From the peaceful, quiet, jaw dropping stunning location, to the comfortable room and the most friendly and helpful owners. It is a truly family run place and you do feel like one of the family when you stay there. It is located high up in the hills of Au away from it all with very good roads to access it. The roads are narrow so it might scare some people but if you are a confident and capable driver you should have no troubles. And it is completely worth it for the location and view. The authentic Austrian food was so delicious, and with one person being Gluten free they did everything they could to accommodate. The breakfast was all local and homemade and more than enough and super yummy coffee! Only thing I would recommend to any Gluten Free people is bring your own bread if you want some with your meals, but this would apply to most places we have visited in Germany and Austria. But this is something I am very use to with traveling and I do not find it a problem. It was one of our best stays in Austria and will most definitely be coming back to stay longer and hike the mountains of Au. Thank you Kathrin and family for a magical stay. An awesome place to stay. Weather and food were excellent during our stay !

The location was superb. The environment was very beautiful . The view from the room on the mountains was awesome. The breakfast buffet was excellent as well as the dinner. The personnel was friendly and very helpful and providing great suggestions for hiking or other adventures.

There was no toilet on the room.

Stay with a wonderfull view

Loved the location of the hotel. Start wonderful hikes straight from their front door. At day have a challenging hike to have dinner prepared for you when you come back.

For us it was not a dealbreaker at all but it is a fully wooden building and therefore a bit noisy.

Sehr schönes Hotel mit toller Aussicht

Sehr schöner Ort und die Zimmer passend dazu eingerichtet. Personal sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Essen schmeckte auch sehr gut. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Leider sehr ringhörig im Haus. Konnte kaum schlafen, da die Zimmernachbarn bis in die späte Nacht laut sprachen und extrem gestampft haben. Hatten leider sehr rücksichtslose und negativ gestimmte Deutsche rund um uns herum, welche die Stimmung sehr beeinflussten. Zudem entsprach die Dusche leider nicht den Bildern (Kunstoff anstatt Platten). Ansonsten aber super schön dort.

Prachtig uitzicht vanuit de ontbijtzaal. Avondeten was erg lekker. Echt een mooie plek om een stuk te gaan wandelen.

Onze kamer had geen uitzicht, dat was wel janmer. En geen gordijnen voor de ramen in de badkamer dus vroeg wakker.

Erholung und Aktivität gleichzeitig auf einem wunderschönen und sympathischen Fleck dieser Erde!

Die Freundlichkeit, die persönlichen Kontakte auch mit der Belegschaft, die Lage, die Ausgangslage, die Entspannung und den Frieden den man dort findet! Ausgiebiges Frühstück und leckeres Essen von einem tollen Koch! Zudem unser Hund äusserst liebevoll und herzlich behandelt wurde! Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Kleines Buchungs-Missverständnis, das aber sehr freundlich und kulant geklärt und entschuldigt wurde. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Het ligt echt boven op een alm, prachtig gebied, kamer groot, maar het meubilair was aan de karige kant. Het is wel heerlijk relaxen daarboven
