An incredible location with outstanding amenities

The location is fantastic - you can start numerous hikes right from the doorstep while still feeling peacefully lost in the wild. The host was very friendly, and the sauna was a lovely bonus. The balcony offered a fantastic view, and the guest card was a real highlight (I've never had one with so many genuine benefits!). There's a small but well-stocked supermarket within walking distance, and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything you might need.

Unfortunately, neither the bed nor the sofa (in sleeping mode) were comfortable. While I don’t expect much from a sofa bed, the main bed desperately needs a better mattress. It was surprising to have such uncomfortable sleeps in a place that is otherwise exceptional in every other way.

Good

The breakfast was excellent and while the heating didn't work on the first night, this was fixed very quickly and we didn't even have to pay for the breakfast on the first day. And while the hotel isn't directly at the ski lifts, it's within walking distance and it's onlt one stop with the ski bus.

The main problem is that there's no restaurant for dinner, which means that the Alpinresort wouldn't even meet the criteria for a one-star rating if it were a genuine hotel. I guess calling it a "Aparthotel" allows the owners to cut some corners, but it's rather confusing for those expecting more than a mere appartment. We therefore had to eat elsewhere, which wasn't easy because many restaurants were fully booked.

This is an apart-hotel so it’s just your room or apartment and the breakfast room. It doesn’t have the conviviality of a normal hotel with bar, restaurant, lounge, terrace to sit in the sun, etc. I guess I should have done my research better as I was expecting a bit more.

Amazing stay, not a single downside.

Everything was perfect. The breakfast had everything you could want, including freshly baked eggs every morning. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful, same goes for the staff. Beautifully located with tons of hikes in the area.

Wonderful little Hotel

The Hotel was wonderful. We had an apartment and it was very comfortable for our family of 4. Tatiana went out of her way to help us get settled in and even waited for us to return from dinner to help us get a couple of loads of laundry started. I would definitely return to this small but modern and very clean hotel.

Sehr schönes Hotel mit Tiefgarage

Sehr gute Lage direkt am Ortseingang von Damüls. Haltestelle für den Skibus direkt vor dem Hotel. 1 Haltestelle weiter ist der Lift. Wir hatten ein Apartment mit sehr gut ausgestatteter Küche. Die Sauna auf dem Dach ist super und hat einen kleinen Aussenbereich zum abkühlen.

Ein Ort um sich rundum wohl zufühlen.

Sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Gastgeber. Wunderbares Frühstück. Auf Wunsch lecker zubereitetes Rührei mit Speck. Sehr saubere und geräumige Zimmer. Am Abend Entspannung in der schön gelegenen Sauna mit Panoramablick auf Oberdamüls und dem Bergkirchlein St.Nikolaus. Kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Küchenausstattung ist verbesserungsbedürftig kein Eierkocher, kein Toaster, defekte Geschirrspülmaschine, die Holzstühle benötigen Stuhlbeingleiter, damit man nicht alle Nachbarn beim Aufstehen hört.

Hervorragendes Frühstück mit lokalen Spezialitäten, sehr leckere Kaffespezialitäten, Wasserkocher im Zimmer, Zimmer schön und modern, prima Wellnessbereich.

Im Wellnessbereich gab es eigentlich nur 5 Plätze, um sich hinzulegen. Über den Gang rüber, nach hinten raus gab es noch einen Ruheraum mit vielleicht 2 Plätzen und 2 Liegen draussen. Bei einer Vollbelegung des Hotels wäre es da sicher eng geworden, bei uns hat es soweit immer gereicht.

Empfehlenswert

Wir hatten ein Appartement für 4 Personen. Raumaufteilung und Platz waren großzügig. Spülmaschine, Tabs, Lappen etc. war alles vorhanden. Die Appartements haben alle Blick nach vorne auf die Kirche von Damüls, super.

Das Geschirr und Besteck war z.T. nur 3-fach vorhanden, max. 4-fach. Da könnte man auch alles 8-fach dahaben, sonst muss man nach jeder Mahlzeit die Spülmaschine laufen lassen. Sehr kleine Tassen. Nachttisch-Schublade war defekt und hing halb raus. Griffe an allen Schränken waren abgegriffen, ist aber nur ein optischer Makel.

Trotz einer Regenwoche genossen wir diese "Hotelferien" in grosser Ruhe sehr.

Sehr reichhaltiges Frühstück. Das gut ausgestattete, komfortable Zimmer hat uns sehr zugesagt.

Das Zimmer bzw. Geschirr war zTeil schmutzig und wenig Abfall war nicht entfernt worden. Wurde dem Hotelier mitgeteilt. Leider konnten wir das Superior Zimmer, gemäss vorgäniger Zusage, nicht beziehen, weil kein entsprechendes Zimmer frei war. Der Hotelier vergass es für uns zu reservieren.

Schönes Hotel in guter Lage

Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Die Apartments sind sehr groß und gut ausgestattet. Die Sauna mit dem Panoramafenster war auch sehr schön.

Der Ruheraum war sehr klein. es gibt nur 3 Liegen. Auf dem Gang gegenüber der Sauna befand sich ein 2.ter Ruheraum der aber sehr ungemütlich war. Im Winter wird die Sauna sicher von vielen genutzt und dann stimmt das mit der Anzahl der Liegen nicht mehr. Im Sommer war das okay.

Ein rundum gelungener Urlaub mit Hund

Eine der wenigen Appartements die Hunde erlauben. Von der Straße bekommt man in der Nacht auch nichts mit. Man ist zu Fuß oder mit dem Auto auch schnell mal woanders für Unternehmungen. Dank der Gäste-Card für den Bregenzerwald und Großes Walsertal sind auch viele Attraktionen und Unternehmungen verbilligt bzw. Gratis.Ausstattung der Küche ist sehr gut und lässt ein selber Kochen auch gelingen. Der Brötchen Service fabelhaft und auch sehr leckere Brötchen. Man kann sich als Gast zurück lehnen/erholen.
