Keeler Lake retreat with private beach!

overall house was great! was nice having the beach! Only thing I would say is the kitchen cabinets were pretty full & the same with the fridge so there wasn't alot of room for our stuff. Great house & location.....definitely plan on going again

Overall nice stay could have used more bath towels. Not the hosts fault but the lake was way more seaweed than I’ve ever experienced with spots of green algae floating at times. The fish in the lake were also ridiculous as they would bite any body part if you dared to sit still and not constantly move in the water. I’ve never experienced anything like this before!

We enjoyed our stay with our family for an extended weekend. The property perfectly fit our needs with lots of relaxing on the patio, enjoying kayaking on the lake, and bon fires at night.

First impressions were good… but then we started to notice a lot of little things that were just kind of disappointing. Lots of missing trim, one room not fully carpeted (and particleboard exposed), paint peeling on the deck, dirty outdoor cushions etc. No place to put our own things, specifically in the bathroom. Bathtub was full of (I assume the owners) shampoos/conditioners, body washes and bath toys. In the bedrooms drawers and closets were full of the owners things, so we could not put any of our own things in those either. It felt like we were housesitting for someone instead of in a vacation rental home. There were a couple other mishaps while we were there. Like the bunkbed breaking and a huge water leak in the basement when it was raining. When I reached out to the owners about the leaking, they told me that the water leak was normal when it rained hard. There were huge puddles in front of both doors in the basement and I spent a solid amount of time trying to get everything away from the doors so that it would not get wet and then clean the water up so that no one would slip or fall. I don’t know… It was just extremely disappointing for the price when we spent multiple thousands of dollars for a week we expected a little more from this rental property. I have rented multiple properties through the years and this is the first time I’ve been disappointed by the home. The only saving grace for this house is that the lake was crystal clear and beautiful.
