We dachten dat we een kamer hadden geboekt met gedeelde keuken maar bij aankomst bleken we een heel huis voor ons te hebben :)
Agus en zijn vrouw hebben goed voor ons gezorgd; van ontbijt, tot transport, tot welke vraag we dan ook maar hadden. De locatie is heerlijk rustig in een klein dorpje op ongeveer drie kwartier van Ijen vulkaan af. Je kunt fietsen huren bij Agus en hij kan tours voor je regelen.
Het enige jammere is de moskee. Deze gaat reeds om 3:30 voor de eerste keer af en zingt het hele gebed. Je hebt echt oordoppen nodig om verder te slapen (ook deze heeft Agus).

I call Agus Hidden Homestay the hidden gem of Java.
The location is good. The house was definitely all good;
We had the whole house for ourselves. The house is big (super) clean and comfortable.
The difference is made by Agus and his wife.
After a Home made breakfast, Agus toke us to discover his village, his community. That was a very special moment for us ( me& my 2 daughters). I was blown away by his kindness towards us. Blown away by the way he represents his community. I am happy and grateful that we had the chance to experience this.

Il proprietario molto simpatico e gentile ci ha contattato in anticipo per sapere se avevamo bisogno di qualcosa. All' arrivo si è dimostrato accogliente e ci ha anche accompagnato a cena in un posto ottimo da lui consigliato. L'appartamento era spazioso, pulito e con tutti i comfort necessari. Assolutamente consigliato. Comodo anche per l'escursione al vulcano.
Rapporto qualità prezzo senza eguali.
Ci è stata offerta anche la colazione fatta dalla moglie super abbondante e buonissima.

Agus is one of the best hosts I’ve ever met. We had many great conversations and he taught us so much about his village! He helped us arrange a tour to Mt. Ijen as well.
The guesthouse was clean and comfortable! Couldn’t have asked for a better stay.
