When it was reconstructed the house went from a cold and rough walled place to a house where comfort and privacy exist along tradition and Nature.
Casa de Santa Cristina has 3 double bedrooms with bathroom available to its guests, who may also enjoy central heating, a living room with a fireplace and satellite TV, Wi-Fi and a completely furnished kitchen where you will be able to prepare meals after a long day exploring the magnificent lands surrounding the house. There is also an old wine cellar that has been remade has a spacious room where friends and family can talk and relax. On the exterior of the house the lush green gardens are perfect to relax and to walk the steps down to the Douro River.

We had the pleasure of staying at Casa Christina for several days during our travels in the Durro Valley area. The property is very well appointed, modern, comfortable, and interesting.
The home is restored from original farm house to a perfect mix of old charm and new amenities. Cant say enough about how wonderful our stay her was. Thank you to the owner for the wonderful history of the property, and understanding of the region.
This is truly a 4 Star property.

The remodeled stone structure is really something to see and I'm sure it can get a 5-star rating in the future with a little more cleaning (the home had a damp smell and lots of spider webs). Overall I really enjoyed the place but my companions were not sold on it due to the above items.
The home appears to have historical significance and is well appointed with all that you would need to cook (we did) and relax (we did).
It should be noted that there is a quarry nearby and truck traffic does run on nearby roads. However this was not a distraction... just don't be surprised by it.
