Rent this fabulous Quinta just 50 minutes / 55 km from Porto, restored by one of Portugal’s most renowned architects! With free Wi-Fi (120 Mbps / fiber) and a breathtaking view of the Douro River just a few dozen meters away, it features a saltwater pool and excellent sun exposure—which is very important in this region of the Douro—to help you make the most of the property. The living room, the balconies overlooking the river, the wine cellar, the master bedroom, and the pool all face west, meaning the summer sun shines until as late as 8:00 p.m.!
Total privacy—the nearest neighbor is only 2 km away. The house is like new, with 290 Mt2, 2 stories, 3 bedrooms (ideal for 10–12 people), 2 restrooms, air conditioning, a living room with a panoramic view, a fireplace, a wood-burning stove, and central heating. Artesian well, automatic irrigation, barbecue, regional wine cellar, private access road, full metal halide lighting, brand-new walls, rustic setting with chimes and lighting, fully enclosed outdoor area, alarm system, water tanks (over 5 million liters), fruit trees, palm trees, olive trees, pine trees, etc.
The Passadiços do Paiva is a fantastic attraction, very close by. The trail stretches between the beaches of the Areinho and Espiunca rivers, with Vau Beach in between. A journey through biology, geology, and archaeology that is sure to leave a lasting impression on the hearts, souls, and minds of all nature lovers.

Beautiful view of the Douro Valley. Grocery store and gas very close.Very clean and well equipped. Owner and caretaker/cleaners easy to communicate with. Great for a family retreat.

We had a great time at Quinta das Tilias Douro Valley. The view does not disappoint...beautiful!It was easy to find with the instructions given and Marcos was always available to answer questions before and after arrival. The property is quiet and peaceful. Easy parking for several cars. There is also a small grocery store less than a 5 minute drive away. There wasn't a lot of English spoken there, but we were able to get everything we needed with no problems. The weather was cool and damp during our visit so we did not use the pool, but it looked to be in nice condition.This was our first time using a home rental, and everything went very smoothly, from the booking to communication with Marcos. We would do this again and if you're looking for a beautiful and relaxing getaway, I would highly recommend this property!P.S. We really enjoyed eating at Desvio Roulote Bar, which was only a few minutes away. Delicious, affordable food in a fun, laid back atmosphere

First of all the view is as stunning as on the photos and Marcos is a fantastic host.The house is a good location overlooking the river between Porto (1h10mins) and the central wine region (1h45mins). Hiring a car from the airport and driving around Porto and region was all very easy and the autoroutes are amongst the best in the world.Unfortunately, we were very unlucky with rubbish weather at the end of October so the unheated pool wasn't used, which was a shame.We did have a bit of confusion around the bed arrangements and Marcos has been made aware of listing issues. If not updated there are 3 bedrooms, all of which had a double bed and single futon and one also had a bunk bed (so suitable for a family of 5). There is also a sofa bed in the lounge.Its a stunning house and location. I actually think Marcos could charge a lot more money with a few relatively small improvements. 1) Upgrade and standardise bed sheets and kitchenware so its bit less of a mish mash and a bit more luxury, 2) Replace the TV with a smart TV for access to netflix etc..., especially as the wifi is excellent 3) Provide a few more cooking and cleaning essentials and maybe a bottle of local wine on arrival. We bought and left a lot behind but i think that the previous guests possibly cleared everything out.It was a wonderful stay, despite being very unlucky with the weather and hopefully these bits are helpfull to adding more value to your property in the future. The garden with pool is lovely and many great outdoor spaces. The house is a combination of rustic and modern. Older part of house has charm whereas the new areas have large windows, and remodeled bathrooms. Marcos did a fantastic job communicating with us and gave outstanding info on stores, restaurants and activities. A car is required and about an hour away from the beginning of the Douro valley wine region.
