Central Bridport, quiet cottage formerly part of officer's barracks

You will not find a better location in the whole of Bridport! Very quietly situated in a 'no through' road just off East Street. This stone built terraced cottage is 5 mins walk to Bucky Doo Sq where there is live music on Saturday market days. Bridport is situated on the River Brit and was originally a port. It was known for its rope and net making and many of the alleyways and twittens originate because of the need to lay out the rope and nets. Situated only 1.5m from stunning Jurassic coast (fantastic fossil hunting) and West Bay (location of Broadchurch). There is also the Arts Centre hosting an eclectic range of art exhibitions, films and entertainment. Annual events include Food & Beer Festival, Literary Festival, Hat Festival & Open Art Studio week. St Michaels Trading Estate (behind South Street) has a Vintage & Retro Fair one Sunday in every month and Bridport market (stalls along East St, West St, South St and many side roads) is buzzing every Wednesday and Saturday.
