About this apartment rental
Splendid 58sqm apartment with terrace facing the sea and 1 north-facing balcony, with magnificent 180° view of the sea, super-equipped.
It is located in a small condominium, recently built, located in a unique context 1705 Promenade du Soleil, in the heart of Menton, close to the pedestrian center, all the services and attractions of the "ville": Cocteau Museum, Provençal Market, Pedestrian area, Shopping, Botanical Garden, Casino, etc. etc.
Accommodation like new and equipped with all comforts *****, furnished with great care, equipped with adjustable air conditioning, located on the 4th floor out of 5
The apartment is large, functional, well furnished and recently enriched with new quality equipment.
Please note that bed linen and towels are not provided. Guests can bring their own or hire them from the property at the following additional costs: Bed linen and towels € 40 (for 2 people) per stay. Please contact the property prior to arrival for rental.
We offer the possibility of free use of the single garage (see photo), located on the -3 floor with access via car lift. The garage measures Width 228 (internal 240), Height 210, Length 480; the walls are covered in foam rubber to protect the bodywork from scratches. The house is accessed from the basement via lift (or stairs) I advise you to check the dimensions of your car. Alternatively there are underground car parks, which can be booked online, at low cost and very close to the apartment
It has a beautiful view of the Mediterranean Sea that ranges from Bordighera (Italy) to all of Roquebrune-Cap Martin: from the large living room facing south and full of windows you can enjoy the fullness of light and the sea with an undisturbed view of the horizon; the large terrace allows you to have lunch or simply have an aperitif as the sun goes down. Unique experience!
For those who love walking, the "Le Corbusier Walk" is a must! in less than an hour, in a continuous ups and downs you will meet villas and botanical gardens on the right, the coves of pointed rocks on the left, the small beaches with white stones, with the Mediterranean scrub and its perfumes. Once it was called the "Sentiero dei Doganieri": already in the eighteenth century the smugglers hid their goods in these little beaches which have many hidden corners, all reachable thanks to concrete ladders, well integrated into the landscape.

We were due to stay at Ettore's property in April but due to the Covid-19 situation we've had to postpone our stay until borders open up again and we can travel. I have based this interview on the ongoing communication I've had with the owner who has been amazing and easy to deal with. Ettore has told us numerous times that we would be able to stay at his apartment at any time in the future but prior to that he was also very helpful in any questions we had regarding our arrival. He responds very quickly to email and has been a joy to deal with. We were worried that because of the non-refundable policy we would be out of luck but we know 100% that at some point in the future we will be able to stay at this lovely gentleman's apartment. His open and friendly character has made this difficult time much less so and we appreciate that that probably picked the best owner and apartment in Menton!

This was our second visit to this lovely apartment and it was so nice to meet with Mr Gazzano and his wife.
The apartment is very comfortable, it has a great view and location.
Thank you Ettore for thinking about every detail and making our stay wonderful.
We are looking forward to returning again!

I wouldn't call this appartment "De Luxe", but it is quite comfortable to spend a couple of weeks in lovely Menton. The seaview is gorgeous, and in the evening you can listen to musicians playing in the nearby cafes - right from your balcony :)
As the apartment overlooks the busy road along the embankment, be prepared for noisy traffic - in case you decide to keep windows open. But we somehow got used to it, and it didn't spoil our stay.
There is a pedestrian area with shops, cafes and even a caroussel just behind the corner, which is very convenient. Across the road we found a well-equipped children's playground near the beach.
Menton in general is a lovely destination for a holiday, with all its Belle Epoque architecture, parks and history. You can easily get to Monaco, Nice and all little villages in between by train.
Ettore is a very attentive and friendly host, I'm grateful for his assistance. Mme Gisele, the local manager, even gave us a lift in her car from the railway station - merci beaucoup!
