About this house rental
A hidden gem on beautiful Bass Lake minutes from downtown Traverse City. Nestled in a quiet cove on a dead end road with amazing sunsets for that true peaceful up north getaway experience. It is a 2 level home with 3 bedrooms, 1-3/4 baths, sauna, and 2 car garage.
The main level of this house features the living room and kitchen / dining area. This space has amazing lake views. Full kitchen with dishwasher offers everything you need to prepare meals. The main level also has a bedroom with a queen bed and a sauna room attached. In the sauna room there is a sauna and sitting area which has a single hida-bed with a large patio right outside.
For mobility challenged quests, there are ramps we can put out prior to your stay that will access the home and the large lakeside deck. With the main floor bedroom and a bathroom that is equipped with tile shower with bench. However the bathroom is not fully wheelchair accessible, it does however offer some safety features like grab bars.
There are Flat screen televisions with cable television in every bedroom. High speed internet (1 GBPS), WiFi, and washer / dryer all provided.
Bass lake is an all sports lake but is very quiet which makes it especially great for fishing, kayaking, and pontooning (pontoon available). There are 3 kayaks, a paddle board, paddle boat, and a canoe all on site for you to use. Go fishing, swimming, or just float around (it is a soft bottom lake).
This location is only 10 minutes to the downtown area where there is plenty of shopping and dining. Go to one of the many wineries or even on one of the wine tastings. Craft beer has really blown up in the area and there are many breweries and flavors to choose from. There are air balloon rides, parasailing, and sailing cruises. Interlochen center for the arts is close by along with many other various nature trails and parks. This area has so much to offer.

We had the pleasure of staying for a week at Lakeside Way in September 2025. The home was spotless, inside and out. The kitchen was fully stocked, Sean even went as far as supplying us with basic kitchen and bath needs (hand soap, dish soap, garbage bags, aluminum foil, etc.). The location of the home was fantastic! It is located at the end of a private street, off of Bass Lake, and only 15 minutes from Traverse City (the best of both worlds). The lake water is so clean that you can actually see the bottom of the lake. The host provided lots of amenities, such as a kite board, canoe, paddle board, and kayaks. We also enjoyed the in-house sauna. We are grateful that the host was kind enough to share his lovely home with us. We plan on having another family reunion next year, and we will return to Lakeside Way!

The house and property were everything promised and more! It was all we could do to pry our kids away from the private beach to go out on day trips to all of the area attractions. It would be difficult to overstate how much we enjoyed our stay. Well done, and thank you!
