Peaceful and perfect describes S'more Fun located in Traverse City on Bass Lake. This home welcomes guests with 3-bedrooms and 3-bathrooms. The living room has a cozy fireplace and beautiful lake views. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a great "eat in" area for morning gatherings. Up the stairs there is a large family room. A large-screen TV and pool table provide entertainment, and a queen futon is available. On the lower level are three bedrooms. The lower level is a walk-out basement with 7-foot ceilings. The master bedroom has a king bed and a spacious walk-in shower. The other two bedrooms each have 2-queen beds. The home has central air conditioning, a gas fireplace, and WIFI.
The outdoors space is a beautifully landscaped. The waterside features decks and a patio area for the fire pit. There is plenty of outdoor furniture too. A dock and canoe round out the outdoor amenities. Bass Lake is a great spot for fishing too! The yard area is a perfect place to play Bocce ball or Croquet. The game room in the garage includes ping pong and more. Stunning sunrises and starry nights are just some of the highlights to enjoy here.
This area is just out of town but close to everything. Visits to the Interlochen/Grawn area, Leelanau Peninsula, Old Mission Peninsula, or downtown Traverse City are all easy drives. Incredible Mo's Family Fun, grocery shopping, and farm markets are about 10 minutes away.
Check out local wineries, breweries, and specialty cheese shops like "the Cheese Lady". Enjoy fantastic restaurants and food trucks in downtown Traverse City. Visit the Sleeping Bear Dunes, cycle the Heritage Trail, and visit the Cherry Bowl Drive-In for family fun in near by Benzie. Things to do in the area are endless. Come and see what all the buzz is about.

We came for a week for a family vacation and had a great time! Our main goal was to have a place where our dog and daughter could swim and it was accomplished! The house really feels like it is it own oasis and away from neighbors. We really enjoyed the beach even with the lily pads that line the clearing. The cano and pabble board are a great touch! The house definitely is a bit funky, some stairways not to code, and I would say the beds aren't very comfortable but for a group like ours that can go with the flow we really enjoyed ourselves.

This was an excellent location for a family vacation. Close to summer camps, Moomer’s Ice Cream, Traverse City and many lakeside activities and destinations. Some things that might be taken into consideration by housekeeping when there is a full house staying for a long duration…Although plenty of bath towels were provided, it was skimpy on washcloths, kitchen towels and silverware. It should also be known that the third bedroom is more of an add-on. Its ‘closet’ houses the water heater and/or water softener. At night, it often casts a red light and makes loud noises.The 3rd bedroom is not recommended for someone over 6 ft tall. The ceilings are very low. It also had spotty WiFi and poor or no TV reception.Nonetheless, a good time was had and fond memories were made. The house was enjoyed by all, especially those who were not so tall.

The house is pretty much as advertised. Nothing luxurious but everything you need for a house on a lake! It’s close enough to town but remote enough to “get away”. We did have some issues that were reported during our stay:The house wasn’t totally clean upon arrival. The kitchen floor had crumbs and sticky residue. There was trash under several beds and bathroom vanities. They did send a clean up crew to pick up the trash and clean the kitchen floor again. The washing machine left orange/rust colored stains on several pieces of clothing which we still can’t remove after traveling home and using multiple stain removers, etc,The ice dispenser didn’t work and you couldn’t manually get ice.The front door keypad didn’t light up/lock and started beeping constantly by the last day.We had to handwash almost every single dish we used as nothing was cleaned properly.There was visible dust/sand under pool table and other furniture.We had young kids and they enjoyed the paddle boat and the toys on the beach. Adult and child life jackets were also included (not infant).Plenty of space for 8 people!
