About this house rental
Located on a hill between Brenham and Navasota with a fabulous view, this 5 bedroom, 5-1/2 bath modern farmhouse PLUS an additional 2-2 in a separate "Casita" offers the perfect spot for family or friends to gather in comfort. Looking for a place to hold your family reunion or friend retreat but don't want to be stacked on top of each other? Lots of room to spread out here with activities for all ages. Events are possible, but an additional charge applies based on activity and number of guests.
The two story main house has a large living area with tables to seat 20+, a colorful electric fireplace for "ambiance" or heat, concrete floors on the first floor for minimal worry, a game room with large TV, bar, ice maker, foosball and electronic games, and a separate laundry room. Two ground level bedrooms each have a king bed and private bath. The back porch has a pathway to the neighboring Casita and as well as a path to the fire pit area. The NEW sports pool is also just out the back door, with a large tanning ledge and pool cabana for afternoon shade. The cabana will eventually have cooking facilities, but for now has a tv and seating.
Upstairs is a bunk room (two separate xl twins, bunk with twin on top and double on bottom), a theater with fiber optic twinkling star ceiling, full bath, and two more large bedrooms with private baths (1 king, 2 queens).
The Casita has two bedrooms (1 king, 2 doubles), each with their own private bath, and a center gathering room with futon, table, sink, small refrigerator, and K-cup coffee maker. Outside is a fire ring to enjoy the evening stars and mooing of neighboring cows. Great place for s'mores (roasting sticks provided)!
Activities include a variety of games, toys, and puzzles in the living and game room including an electronic console and card/poker table/bumper pool table, a foosball table, and multiple TV's and a theater. Outside there are a variety of riding, climbing, and swinging toys for kids as well as seasonal berry picking, basketball, ping pong, kickball bases, balls, Disc golf, corn hole, washers, and more. The lake has a short pier for jumping off or launching the paddle boat. The woods and flowers provide perfect subjects for photographers and artists. Hay is grown across most of the property surrounding the house.
Sunsets and sunrises are spectacular and the wildlife is abundant in the woods and yard. All wildlife is protected, except for the feral hogs!
For outdoor grilling enthusiasts, there is a propane grill and Traeger smoker on the back porch (that will be moved to the pool cabana). An additional freezer for ice only is in the garage and an ice maker is in the game room. Outdoor seating is provided in several locations as well as camp chairs in the garage for sitting around the fire pit.
A separate cabin with a queen bed is available if additional space is needed. Please inquire if you are interested. $150 for the stay. The 2-2 Casita may be available on its own if the entire house is not needed. Please inquire.
Just off the highway but out in the country, “Deep in the Heart Farm” wedding venue is only 3 miles down the road, Kyle Field is just 37 miles away, Chappell Hill is 9 miles, Lake Somerville is 25 miles, Washington on the Brazos State Historic Site is 8 miles, George H. W. Bush Presidential Library is 38 miles away, the Brenham Country Club is 10 miles away, and the Blue Bell Creamery is only 12 miles down the road! Big festivals in the area include the Official Bluebonnet Festival of Texas (April), Round Top Antique Fair (January, April, October), Texas Independence Day (March), Brenham Maifest (May) Grape Stomp (July-August), Burton Cotton Gin Festival (April) and so much more!

Our friends and family stayed at this property for our wedding weekend. It provided somewhere close to our venue for everyone to gather and spend quality time together. It was so much fun!

My brothers and I were celebrating my Dad's birthday via surprise party at Rail & Rye down the street and then spent the weekend at Red Berry Hollow. Our party consisted of 22 adults and 6 children. Everyone had plenty of room when utilizing the house, casita, and cabin. The owner was responsive and so generous with everything she provided. It was truly an unmatched experience after years and years of renting on VRBO. My Dad's family flew in from Chicago and we wanted to give them a Texas experience and this definitely fit the bill. There was so much to do we never left the house the entire weekend. Would love to make this an annual trip if possible. Thank you Janis!

Beautiful home/property, with everything you need already there. Plenty of large common areas, but also several places to find some alone time. It was perfect for our multi family stay. Owner is quick to respond via text message. 10/10
