A most beautiful experience!! Gérard is a true gentleman and an excellent host. We felt he truly cared about our stay in Arles. He met our family at the station, gave us a basic tour of the surrounding area, gifted us thoughtful provisions, and dropped us off at the station. When it seemed as though we would have a delay when leaving, Gérard was extremely accommodating and flexible. He is just a great, friendly guy-- what more can be said? The little house is so beautiful, romantic, and peaceful. It was picture perfect and you will find all necessities for a comfortable stay. It stays cool in the heat as well-- so do not fear if you arrive during the summer. This was a terrific experience all around and I would return again in a heartbeat.

Gerard’s house in Arles is as described both cool (aircon in the bedroom - essential during our summer stay) and quiet (in a neighbourhood about 10 minutes walk from the old town). Gerard kindly collected us from the railway station and dropped us back at the end of our stay. He had baguettes, tapenade and wine waiting in the small but well appointed townhouse. We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed exploring all that Arles has to offer, including Luma, which is enroute into town. As a couple, we did find the twin beds a bit uncomfortable and the lack of wifi a bit of a disadvantage but overall had a good stay.

The Arles townhouse was a great home base for the two of us to spend a week exploring the beauty and history of the Provence region. We were able to park our rental car on the quiet narrow street in front when we returned from our day trips. The terrific host shared some sightseeing recommendations that we worked into our itinerary. Arles has a lot to see (and eat), and the townhouse location is very walkable. We had perfect weather the 4th week in September and were able to enjoy the patio area and open windows.

Nous avons beaucoup aimer l appartement. C est tres tranquille....Pas de traffic de circulation car on est sur une petite rue ....C est seulement les gens de la place...Le logement est tres bien situe pour faire la visite de Arles a la marche...Aussi on peut aller faire nos emplettes au marche central qui est ouvert le mercredi et samedi.....Le logement est tres bien equipe pour faire la cuisine et tout est tres propre.... Il y as plein de restaurants dans la ville.... Nous on avait louer une auto pour aller visiter d autres villes et villages....Situe a proximite des villes comme aix en provence, ST remy de provence etc...et beaucoup de charmants villages aux alentours.....On as ete tres bien accueilli par le proprietaire Gerard .Il est tres sympatique et chaleureux..... Il donne de tres bons conseils pour faire de belles decouvertes.....Aussi il est toujours disponible pour quoi que ce soit...Dans le frigidaire on avait une bouteille de vin rose de la place et de la tartinade aux olives noires et aux tomates sechees et une baguette de pain....Oui on recommande cette location sans hesitation....(Si jamais on retourne dans ce coin c est sur qu on retourne a ce logement). Un excellent séjour à Arles au mois d'août 2015. Le logement est très agréable et l'accueil par le propriétaire des plus chaleureux ! Nous y avons passé une semaine avec notre fils de 18 mois, le propritaire nous avait mis l'équipement pour enfant à disposition : lit à barreaux, chaise haute', barrière de sécurité. L'espace extérieur est très agréable car ombragé l'après midi ce qui est appréciable dans une région où la chaleur estivale peut vite grimper, la clim dans la chambre est aussi appréciable. Logement idéal pour un couple avec un bébé.

Das Mietobjekt ist ein niedliches kleines Häuschen in einem zentral gelegenen Arbeiterviertel in Arles. Wir haben die kleine Terrasse ( die Gott sei Dank nur bis 14:00 Uhr Sonne hat ) sehr genossen. Und dass wir auf dem kleinen Innenhof ohne Störungen von Nachbarn täglich wunderbar frühstücken konnten. Wenn man mit Auto reist empfiehlt sich ein Kleinwagen weil die Straßen sehr sehr eng sind und die Beulen & Kratzer der PKWs der Franzosen sprechen eine deutliche Sprache Über ihr Fahrverhalten. Also wir haben uns einen weiter gelegenen Parkplatz gesucht und lieber alles hin und her geschleppt. Der Empfang von Gérard war sehr freundlich und wir haben uns über den Rosé und das erste französische Abendessen sehr gefreut und möchten uns noch mal ganz herzlich bedanken. Auch die Tipps von Gérard waren überaus nützlich. Von Arles kommt man in alle Richtungen gut weg nach überall in der Provence und durch die zwei Fahrräder konnten wir auch die Stadt ganz toll kennen lernen. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Urlaub – nur der Weg zum Meer ist ganz schön weit . Á bientôt. Thomas & Birgit

Sehr hübsch eingerichtetes Haus, alles vorhanden, was man zum Selbstkochen braucht, sehr sympathischer Vermieter, ruhige Lage am Stadtrand, somit gute Anbindung nach Arles mit 10 Minuten Fußweg, kurze Wege in die schöne Carmargue (mit Geheimtips zum Baden!) und die reizvolle Provence (schöner Golfplatz), schöne Märkte.

Location conforme à l’annonce, beaucoup de petits plus. La décoration et les matières utilisées donne à l’endroit un côté cocooning. La terrasse est top, deux vélos sont à disposition. L’endroit est très calme, aucun bruit la nuit même fenêtre ouverte. Pour se garer (rue étroite) pratique car toujours de la place. Draps, serviettes tapis de bain etc à disposition et de qualité. Pour finir petit clin d’œil au propriétaire avenant et sympa, Merci pour votre accueil et les douceurs mises à disposition pour notre arrivée.

Nous avons passé 15 jours en juillet 2018. Nous avons été accueillis par Gérard, très chaleureux qui a mis à notre disposition des douceurs locales. Il nous a renseignés sur les visites à effectuer dans la région. Quand nous avons demandé des informations supplémentaires, il a tout de suite répondu à notre demande avec toujours beaucoup de gentillesse. Nous avons vraiment eu plaisir à séjourner dans sa maison. Très calme et à proximité de la ville d'Arles et de ses environs Avignon, Sainte Marie... Nous remercions Gérard de son accueil et de sa bienveillance. Je recommande vivement cette location.

Dieses Ferienhaus ist vollständig und gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Ankunft wird mit frischen Blumen, einer Flasche Wein und erstem Essen (Brot und Tapenaden) sehr angenehm gestaltet. Le propriétaire nous a accueillis très chaleureusement et nous a donné des idées de balades et d'activités. Les 2 vélos nous ont permis de faire une belle promenade en Camargue. La terrasse close est idéale pour le petit déjeuner et pour se détendre en soirée. Bien que très proche du centre , il y fait calme et de la terrasse de la chambre on jouit d'une vue agréable ( église, cloître et hirondelles). On est en vacances, mais on se sent chez soi.

Il proprietario è persona gentilissima e ci ha fatto trovare, oltre alla necessaria attrezzatura, una bottiglia di vino, delle buonissime salse, quanto serve per la colazione del giorno dopo compreso un pacchetto di caffè, sale, zuchero ,olio. La casa, anche se piccola si sviluppa su due piani, con una scala ripida e stretta (sconsigliabile a chi ha difficoltà di movimento), ma utile per fare movimento. Dispone di una piacevole corte di ingresso all'aperto e di un bel balcone al primo piano (che purtroppo la temperatura e il vento non ci hanno permesso di utilizzare). La casa si trova a 15 minuti a piedi dal centro di Arles. Nella zona vi sono anche case molto modeste, ma il quartiere è molto tranquillo. Nella strada si può parcheggiare , ma è davvero molto stretta e un'auto di larghezza superiore a m 1,80 creerebbe problemi. Comunque a breve distanza vi è possibilità di parcheggiare anche per vetture molto grandi.

Wir haben eine sehr schöne Woche in dem schönen Ferienhaus verlebt. Gerard ist ein sehr angenehmer Gastgeber und hat uns schon mit Baguette und Wein empfangen. Fast jeden Tag konnten wir vor dem Haus frühstücken. Der nächste Bäcker für das morgendliche Croissant ist nur 3 Minuten entfernt. Die Lage des Hauses in einer engen Seitenstraße ist trotz der Nähe zur Stadt angenehm ruhig. Sowohl fußläufig als auch mit dem Fahrrad ist das Stadtzentrum innerhalb weniger Minuten zu erreichen.

Der Innenhof kann super zum Frühstücken in der Sonne genutzt werden.( Sonnenschein bis ca 13:30 Uhr)Mit den Fahrrädern ist man in 5 Minuten im Zentrum v Arles . Arles ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für die Erkundung der Camarque, Avignon, pont du gard etc.
