ideally located. in beautiful impasse flower and very calm,
200 m from the arena and near the place Voltaire where you will find
many restaurants, bars, pharmacy, bakeries, bike rental and where all the outdoor shows take place
large car parks (most paying) 250m but there are free places that we will tell you on request
you will be right next to the two major provincial markets on Saturday (Boulevard des Lices) and Wednesday at 100m
you will be 30 minutes from the sea (Sainte Marie de la Mer) and the Camargue and close to major cities such as Marseille, Montpellier, Nimes. or Avignon and not far from the mountain (Mont Ventoux)

Great property! Very clean, wonderful introduction to the property with instructions about Arles restaurants, attractions, and public transportation and the home itself. The home owner was fabulous and super attentive. Her assistant Nathalie, who greeted us and saw us off, was great as well. This was a great visit all around! Thank you Jocelyne and Nathalie !

This is a wonderful find in Arles. You have the whole immaculate house, carefully equipped for a guest and thoughtfully decorated with lots of little touches. The owner Jocelyne was very very communicative and helpful, as was the lovely woman who cares for her house. This is a true find.

This home is well looked after and is decorated in a style typical to the area. Although this home has medieval origins the kitchen is modern and wonderfully equipped with dishes & glassware plus several options for sautéing or cooking pasta or stews. The beds are very comfortable. Good heating, and other mod cons. The stairwells are a bit steep so one needs to be careful. It is a very quiet area but the house is just 3 blocks from the Arènes or Place Voltaire to enjoy lunch/dinners. Great shopping at the Markets held twice a week. It was an enjoyable month.

It was interesting to stay in the historic centre. It is so close to the sites and restaurants. We had everything we needed and any questions we had were quickly answered.

It was well stocked with things in the kitchen to prepare food. Beds were uncomfortable. Musty smell mold?.. great location. No instructions for washing machine but we got in trouble for not latching it properly. Natalie was helpful. We really liked the area

Jocelyne checked in with us frequently before arriving to make sure everything went smoothly. Her property manager, Natalie, was just as attentive. When she realized the farmer’s market was the next morning, she arrived at our door at night to make sure we were parked in a place where we would not be towed. The apartment was perfect…. confortable, had everything we needed, and in walking distance if all sights. Thank you, Jocelyne and Natalie!

We loved staying in a home that was probably built about 500 years ago! It was charming! The house was conveniently close to everything. The bed was not terribly comfortable, but because we spent the day walking around and exploring, we had no trouble sleeping. Access to the second bedroom is through the bathroom upstairs.

Our host provider left no stone unturned. She anticipates all that is needed to make guests comfortable and feel “at home”. The location is perfect for easily getting to all the sites in Arles. She checks by text to ensure that guests are happy and to answer any questions. Really awesome!

We had a super stay in Arles. The house was clean and welcoming and just minutes from the impressive Roman Arena. Nathalie was extremely helpful and went above and beyond when are trains were canceled due to a strike. Merci Nathalie, tu as ete si acceuillante 😊.

Wonderful Month-long Winter Holiday in Charming Historic Center of Arles

This beautiful compact three-floor house was in the center of an ancient Roman city, in the authentic heart of Provence. The house was clean, quiet, well equipped, comfortable, and close to restaurants, farmers markets, cinemas, and museums. We were two minutes away from the Roman arena, Roman amphitheater, and the beautiful Rhône river. Frequent train schedule allowed us to make day trips to Avignon, Nimes, Montpellier, Marseille, Le Thor, and L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. The charming streets were very narrow and driving would have been challenging. We had bicycles which were perfect for exploring the city, countryside and taking on the train. Madame Etter was extremely flexible, welcoming, helpful, and communicative. We had everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable séjour in Provence. The neighbors, shop owners and cafe staff were always very welcoming. We highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to experience genuine small city Provencal life.

Wonderful, comfortable stay

The house is perfectly located, very comfortable, and looks like the pictures. All of the rooms are charming and clean, and the place feels like a real home. We ate our hot meals out, but found all of the kitchen items we would have needed to cook, had we chosen to. Happily, there was plenty of hot water for showers. The stairs may be difficult for those with mobility issues, but my elderly mother navigated without trouble between the first floor and the 2nd floor bedroom., while I took the wonderful third floor bedroom. As a nice touch, there are helpful maps and guides as well as books en Française for all ages. I would definitely return.

The property was excellent and our stay was wonderful. The location looks like a postcard of a Provence street, and the house is clearly historic. The owner has added lots of great touches, from little elements for kids to enjoy, to elements highlighting Arles as the home of Vincent Van Gogh. Reproductions of Van Gogh paintings are throughout the house, and you can clearly see his times reflected... the reed chairs, the shape of the bedroom, the artfully placed sunflowers. All very nicely done.The kitchen is very functional, with all necessary cooking equipment, and made it easy to enjoy all the treats we got at the weekly Arles market. The bathroom is very spacious and modern. Although a historical home, surprisingly spacious and perfect for our family. The location is very convenient for a Van Gogh walking tour, but also just two blocks from the two thousand year old Roman Arena, and one more block from the Roman Theatre. You are right in the heart of historical Arles, within the city walls. Very handy to excellent restaurants, bakery and grocery store. The weekly market (the Little Market) on Wednesdays was jaw dropping. It was simply huge, and gave a great sense of what a Provencal market can be. Parking could potentially be challenging, but the property manager reserved us a space, held it with his car while we were touring around and moved for us again after. Otherwise we found the inner city very walkable, and easy to find street parking within a reasonable walking distance. The location was great for exploring the area. We travelled to the Camargue, Avignon, Nimes, Pont du Gard, St. Remy and elsewhere through Provence in easy day trips. My only comment for consideration (which the owner was very clear about) is that the owner and property manager speak only French. They are prepared to try to communicate, but have virtually no English, so you must be prepared to practice your French. That said, as someone with high school French from 20 years ago, I was able to communicate enough to understand, and Im so grateful we were able to have this very Provencal experience.

Location, location, location and a sweet house

Every time you turned around, you'd notice one more little thing that the owner had done to make sure you had everything. Roomy, full-sized kitchen, drying racks for laundry, lots of pillows on the beds -- but the best part was the location. Easy in and out of Arles for exploring the Camargue or elsewhere in Provence and walking distance to everything IN Arles. Loved our stay.

This charming three-level stone dwelling is ideal for two couples or a small family. Arles is a gem of a city and the property is perfectly situated even for those arriving by train. If you want an authentic experience living on a lane in old Arles, without the clamor of cars and crowds, in an charming historic home, this house is for you. The house has been beautifully restored and thoughtfully furnished. The owner has considered what guests will need in considerable detail. The house is around the corner from the ancient Roman amphitheater and a short walk to the other sites in this extraordinarily rich historic city. It is also close to restaurants, bakeries, and grocery stores. If you like to cook, the kitchen is well-equipped and highly functional. We stayed eight days and could have easily enjoyed eight more. We highly recommend this lovely home in Arles.

Great place to stay

House had everything you needed. No AC, but with the fans it was OK, and it was +40 when we were there. We were a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 teens, and we had lots of room. The walk through bathroom was not an issue...kids thought it was neat. We didn't cook, so can't speak for the appliances, we did make coffee and were grateful for there being coffee and sugar there. We were able to find parking easily.There were hand towels..thank you, as I forgot to pack those. Daniel, who greeted us was very nice and informative. Would definitely go back!

Nous avons passé une semaine à Arles très agréable, la maison est typique de la région.Elle est très bien située, fonctionnelle, joliment décorée, avec bonne literie et plusieurs attentions de la part de la propriétaire dans la cuisine et la salle d'eau. Un remerciement particulier à Nathalie, la voisine, qui nous a accueillis avec beaucoup de gentillesse et nous a indiqué des idées de balades (Saintes Marie de la mer à 30 min en bus par exemple).

Wir haben uns in dem für Arles typischen kleinen Stadthaus sehr wohl gefühlt. Es lag zentral in einer kleinen Gasse, von der aus man sowohl alle täglichen Besorgungen gut erledigen als auch bspw. das Amphittheater, den Wochenmarkt und die Rhône gut zu Fuß erreichen konnte. Zudem ist Arles ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in die weitere Umgebung. Das Häuschen war gut ausgestattet, relativ ruhig und strahlte eine gemütliche Atmosphäre aus.

Mme Etter fait tout à distance pour que le séjour de ses hôtes se passe bien, grâce notamment à des voisins charmants et serviables.
