Not even basic luxury!

Staff were friendly - valet and pool side particularly. There was enough supply of drinking water which is always good.

I had a room on the 14th floor, which was not cleaned properly. Heavy amounts of dust under the side tables and TV area. Clearly had been “cleaned around”. Makes you think what else hasn’t been cleaned properly. Toilet paper was very cheap quality. Thin and harsh, says it all really! There is a floor labelled as PR for the swimming pool. The lift button did not allow us to press this….later was told this floor has not be opened since launch. Why have signage there for it then!!! Overall disappointing.

A very hearty and beautiful experience with warm reception

I loved how meticulous the staff were from arrival until departure. I received a warm reception from Varun, who was especially good with my booking and also further extended stay as I had arrived around midnight for my check in. The 24hr dine in room service was amazing and the food always came through very fresh. I booked the room with the views facing the Emperor’s palace and I was happy with it.

I've had a pleasant and comfortable stay apart from a brief incident where a hotel employee tried to open the room door without me giving him the permission to do so and without me asking for any kind of service, most probably he got the wrong room number, but still, he shouldn't have tried to open the room door without me allowing him to, apart from that, things went perfectly well during my stay. I had to bring this issue up so incidents like these would not recur.

We didn't like it... This can't be a 5-star hotel

We booked this hotel for two nights based on the excellent reviews and pictures provided. The price also was REASONABLE to us as a 5-star hotel and a highly rated property. We liked the staff; they were friendly, especially Fiti. Also, they have a really good Americano coffee that we ordered in the room. They also offered us a late checkout until 4 pm for free, which was appreciated. THAT'S ALL, TO BE FAIR.

Where to start! 1. The check-in/check-out process was very slow and boring. The lobby was small and fully occupied and very hot, so no person could enjoy a cup of coffee or so. 2. The room was of a very weird design; the TV is on the left of the bed, the bathtub is between the cupboard and sinks, and the bed is facing the window! It was just unorganized space, and the lighting was dark and poorly distributed. 3. The AC was very hot, and we called for help; however, whatever they did, the temperature never went more than 23°C and the fan was barely reaching the whole room. We had very bad sleeping nights. 4. We ordered a club sandwich the first night, which was around 100 dhs. Unlike other 5-star hotels, they brought a small club sandwich that looked like a kid's meal with a small portion of fries. It was overpriced and untasty. 5. To make things even worse, the next day there was no hot water. We have waited several hours and ended up showering with cold water. 6. The furniture and floor were not clean; we stayed in room 1812 and there were coffee stains on the dresser, the kettle was dirty, and there was no coffee machine. 7. The room was cleaned with strong detergent; it smelled chemical, and with the poorly working AC.. you imagine. All in all, we honestly didn't like our stay, and from the first few hours, we were thinking of leaving and going to the nearby Conrad. People should read some other poor reviews on Booking, which we found more reliable. Also, we hope that the management reads these comments and makes necessary improvements.

It was just ok. I realized I paid double the price, perhaps because of timing.

Many places in the property are old or aged. Dull looking, over crowded by people from tourist busses, etc. Breakfast too was a super crowded, perhaps because of eid. This hotel is not for premium or calm experiences. Beach access is so small. The feel is not like what it is in pictures. Motorized curtains didnt work, had to call someone in the night to fix them.

Enjoyed our stay

All the staff are friendly, all of them would say hi with a warm smile. They also accommodated our needs when asked. Loved the room and had a great view of the Emirates Palace. We had lunch at the Pearl lounge, and the food tasted good.
