About this cottage rental

Welcome to the peace and tranquility of the beautiful 'Fleurs de Glycine' riverside gite. The gite has three floors and sleeps four. The ground floor has a fully equipped kitchen with electric oven, gas hob, microwave and washing machine, a dining area and a sitting area with freesat English Sky TV and French TV channels and DVD a player. Stairs lead you to the first floor which has a vintage styled bedroom with a double bed (137cm x 190cm), with juliette balcony and separate shower and WC room. Take the second flight of stairs to find the pretty twin bedroom with 2 single beds (90cm x 190cm), with its own bathroom. Hairdryers are provided in each room. Gas central heating keeps the gite toasty warm in winter. High chair and cot available on request.
We recommend that you have a car for exploring the local area and we provide on site parking. If you want to relax at the gite you can enjoy our peaceful shared garden which has all the essentials to help you relax: sun loungers, barbecue, picnic blanket and cold bags, petanque set.
We also have a selection of DVD's, books and games we can loan you during your stay.
On arrival you will receive a Welcome pack to help you settle in.
The Gite is one of only two on site.

Lovely little house by the river

Had a wonderful week at la glycine with great weather. This lovely little farmhouse is very well equipped with everything you need and very clean. Dawn and john are very accommodating and extremely friendly, would highly recommend this property for a restful stay by the riverside and its lovely big garden. A big thank you to Dawn and john for the lovely welcome pack on our arrival.

Lovely gite, well equipped and comfortable with an amazing riverside garden.

The gite is pretty, comfortable and very well equipped. Our two young girls loved the fantastic garden leading down to the river Creuse, and the friendly chickens! The gite is located in an attractive village with a nice cafe and some interesting caves to visit only a few minutes stroll away. We also visited Chenonceau, Chinon and a lake beach, all less than an hour's drive. Dawn was a great host, welcoming and helpful. We hope to return!

A relaxing 3 days in a very clean cozy cottage. Nice and comfortable upstairs room for the kids. We couldn't enjoy the garden and river banks due to the rain, but this was an enjoyable countryside break. Owners very welcoming and nice. A place we would easily come back to.

Un gîte très propre et bien aménagé avec un joli jardin au bord de la Creuse. Les propriétaires sont très agréables, dommage qu'ils ne parlent pas français, la barrière de la langue ne nous a pas permis de communiquer. Un petit reproche malgré tout, c'est que sur l'annonce Abritel, la photo du gîte ne fait pas état que l'autre aile du bâtiment est un autre gîte et il y a trop de proximité entre les deux et pas vraiment d'intimité ; heureusement que les autres locataires, anglais eux aussi, étaient très sympathiques et non bruyants. Là encore, barrière de la langue, dommage. Il suffirait juste de mettre des bacs ou des pots avec des arbustes pour avoir un semblant d'intimité. Sinon très bon séjour, calme et reposant.

Nous étions qu'un couple, mais le gîte est excellent pour une famille. Bel accueil avec visite des lieux. Nos hôtes nous ont préparé un petit panier d'accueil avec l'essentiel (vin, pain et fromage) en cas d'arrivée tardive. Le gîte est superbement équipé, ce qui permet de faire du lavage. Charmant jardin à proximité de la rivière.

Gīte parfait pour un sėjour d'une semaine avec nos deux enfants à la découverte des sites touristiques de la rėgion et pour notre première visite au Futuroscope. Gīte parfaitement ėquipé et très propre, beau et grand jardin en bord de Creuse pour les amoureux de la nature et de la pêche. Propriétaires discrets et attentionnés.

Gîte calme dans un petit village calme

Des vacances reposantes dans ce petit gîte très bien aménagé : cuisine équipée avec un petit coin pour la télé et le canapé, une chambre et salle de bain à l'étage, et une autre chambre et salle de bain sous mezzanine. Tout était très propre à notre arrivée avec en prime un panier gourmand et le frigo contenant quelques indispensables (lait, jus d'orange, beurre, fromage). Le terrain commun aux propriétaires et aux locataires du gîte est grand avec La Creuse qui le borde (totalement sécurisé pour les petits). Des tables permettent d'aller passer un moment pour jouer à l'ombre... Nous avons visité les alentours en allant 2 jours sur le futuroscope, une après-midi dans une chèvrerie, un jour sur les châteaux de la Loire et pour terminer une immersion dans les caves troglodytes de Saint Rémy qui valent le détours ! Ajoutez à ces découvertes le calme de ce village et de la maison de John et Dawn !! De merveilleuses vacances, à recommander... A noter que nous étions les seuls locataires (l'autre gîte n'était pas occupé). A noter aussi qu'il faut un peu parler et comprendre l'anglais car les propriétaires parlent peu le français (mais ça n'a pas gêné le déroulement de nos vacances).

Il ne manque rien dans ce gîte (les draps, le liquide vaisselle, le tire-bouchon, le matériel pour pique-niquer, les serviettes de bain, de l'huile, du sel, les barrières de sécurité pour les escaliers...). Le panier d'accueil est à découvrir. Le gîte est très propre. Bref, un accueil exceptionnel pour la France. Les enfants ont adoré les trois poules de Dawn et Cater. Nous avons beaucoup aimé les espaces en bord de Creuse très reposants. Encore merci pour votre accueil ! Thank you very much.
