THE NEW VILLA LOS ROQUES - NEWLY RENOVATED-MODERN AND INTIMATE - BEAUTIFUL VIEWS

Absolutely fantastic villa and location. Equipped with everything you could possibly need! Spotlessly clean. Excellent communication from owner. We had a few electrical issues to start with after really wet winter conditions, however these were sorted really quickly by the attendance of an electrician to rectify the problem. Carlos, the owner could not have been more helpful and accommodating checking in throughout our stay to see if there was anything he could do to help. Highly recommended and will absolutely be staying here again in the future!

Lovely house in a quiet location. Very spacious and relaxing. The host (Carlos) is very hospitable and only too happy help and advise on any issues.

The Villa was extremely comfortable and well equipped with beautiful views over the sea & mountains. The pool was the largest pool for a private villa we’ve ever had in the Canaries. Best if you hire a car as it’s a little way out of Playa Blanca (45 minute walk which we did often) but the peace and quiet and the views are so worth it. Carlos was a brilliant host and always at the end of a message for any questions we had & regularly checked that we were happy and all was well with our stay. He passed on recommendations for places to go and restaurants (eat at El Primario it’s delicious!). We would certainly return here.

First impressions “wow” it’s huge and really well appointed. Pool and large gardens, 3 bathrooms, games room, 4 beds but could easily sleep 10! Open plan kitchen/diner/lounge with induction hob, dishwasher & washing machine. Large sofa, tv & amazing views over PB! On closer inspection the outside did not match up to the photos on vrbo and as time went on the wear & tear showed up. Villa clearly tired and worn, bathrooms slightly grubby, basement shower stuck on too hot and water was boiling. Water pressure too low for all 3 showers to run at the same time anyway, beds rock hard, ants in main bedroom/bed, basement windows whistle due to being ill fitted, no pool cue tips, 2 frying pans that were not induction hob compatible, zero chlorine in pool despite 2 visits from pool guy (stayed 15/20 mins both times)-green stain round rim due to years of sun cream (as explained by pool guy). Outside floor tiles cracked, decking slats loose, fake grass badly fitted. Sun loungers/chairs dirty or broken. All that said owner (Carlos) & cleaner (Sylvia) very helpful where they could be. When we arrived earlier than anticipated we didn’t have to wait till 4pm as Sylvia let us in. When there was a problem with the water supply-it was sorted asap and gift given for inconvenience. When toaster broke-new one bought immediately. Despite what sounds like a huge list of complaints none of that spoilt our holiday. There was only one issue that truly had the potential to impact our stay and that was the location. I’m glad we looked into address as soon as we were given it (once full booking fee paid) as it gave us the opportunity to hire cars. It is a serious walk down into town & an even more serious walk home again. Not sure if owners or vrbo are responsible for the pinned location on the map but it isn’t accurate to where villa actually is. Definitely need to be fit or have own car. Luckily we are/had both. This review is not meant to be negative and we hope it is taken with the intention it was written - a realistic review. As previously mentioned all the above did not spoil our holiday one bit, we just feel the villa is tired but has huge potential to be stunning.
