About this villa rental
This is an old fish flour factory, restored for luxury housing, which has 3,000 m² of completely landscaped farm, with extraordinary trees, such as Lebanon and Himalayan cedars, Rhododendrons, Magnolias, Fir trees, Maple trees etc. The construction is all native materials, such as chestnut tree wood, Santiago stone, Galician pine, etc. Included is a drawing room of 90 m² with a large fireplace, 2 porches (one of which featuring a barbecue), a library, 5 bedrooms, 3 complete bathrooms, a storage closet, a pantry, and kitchen of 30 m². Heating and central hot water. Outside, there is an enormous pool of 80 m² with nocturnal lighting, a poolside porch, and a small shack for children´s games. There is a beach bar for wonderful summer celebrations. Located in a place of enchantment, where there is peace and tranquillity or if you prefer, it is 8kKm from one of the most touristic zones in the Galician Rias Altas, where leisure and fun are guaranteed.

This lovely, large secluded house is set in carefully looked after gardens full of places to sit and relax. The river is accessible from a steep bank and lovely to swim in (but refreshingly cold!) If you don't want to go in yourself you can listen to the babbling water and watch the fish passing from the large outside covered terrace with big dining table and barbecue.
The big pool has sun and shade and an external shower and the children would have happily spent all week diving and jumping and swimming.
Inside the ground flow is open plan with little nooks to sit quietly and read or relax. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking basic meals for 10 people. Really useful to have indoor and outdoor fridges with this size group. Bedrooms are all upstairs - 4 doubles and 1 twin. The main bedroom is large and grand with an ensuite and overlooks the river. There are 2 other shower rooms. The front double bedroom is big and has a little annexe study area. The other 3 bedrooms are smaller but not cramped. There were plenty of bath towels and pool towels, which was really appreciated.
We drove to several fantastic beaches, a waterpark and Santiago de Compostela. Our favourite day included swimming in the river, a Segway tour in A Coruña and a meal in Pizza Mino. There were some local supermarkets within 10 mins drive and we found pastries every morning, but I think a car would be essential. There were lots of options to explore Galicia, but it would have been very easy to relax in this fabulous house and not go anywhere!
I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay. Elena, Alphonso and (especially) Adrián were easy to contact and helped us to solve any small niggles. We have returned to the UK feeling all the better for such a great holiday. :-)

Excellent home, property and location! Close to many things (including beaches, forests, and a local village with services) and a quiet neighborhood, great place or large group or family reunion. The owner Elena and her son Alfonso were very friendly and helpful

Impressive property. The house was very clean. Perfect for family holidays.
The pool is very big which we enjoyed very much. The river going through the property is amazing. Our host Elena was very kind and helpful, always available to solve our queries.
We will undoubtedly come back to this Galician paradise!

Difficult access, TV problems, poor location, dirty floors and outside too, no air conditioning, not dryer, expecting better for the price we paid.
